CHAPTER 8

The clash of weapons could be heard in the woods. Kakashi was guarding Tazuna. Sasuke and Sakura were incharge of the house. So Naruto and Tenten were currently sparring with each other. It truly surprised Tenten, how much he had grown just in six months time. Naruto has abused his cheat of instantaneous chakra recovery and shadow clones to gain battle experience by properly fighting eachother. Not to mention his arsenal of ninjutsu have increased as well. Although they were mostly c ranks and Naruto's use of them is straight forward, but it's amazing to see him using jutsu from all five elements. His mastery over wind is impressive. While earth, water and lightning jutsu's mastery was medicore. And he was just overloading his fire style with chakra. It wasn't affecting him though. But even after all this, he was still being pushed back by Tenten. Tenten didn't use any flashy ninjutsu even though she has mastered earth style nature manipulation. Her skills with Naginata were greater than Naruto's skill with bow staff. And she has enough mastery over fuinjutsu to use it in fight flawlessly. And that was enough to handle Naruto's shadow clones. While Naruto has more base strength, Tenten has the speed advantage. And adding that to shambles, Tenten was way faster and trickier than Naruto. And while Naruto has more stamina, Tenten's recovery speed was insane. So all in all Naruto was loosing slowly but surely. Although he wan't using one of his triumph cards, the adementaite chakra creation, Tenten wasn't using the features of Surume or destruction of Ichimonji either.

After what seems to be like hours they finally stopped. Naruto lost. It was almost dusk. So they had to go back soon. So they simply sat on the forest floor enjoying each other's company.

"What have you planned for chunin exams ?" Tenten asked Naruto.

"What about it ?" Naruto asked confused.

"I am asking about the upcoming events of forest of death. Orochimaru will be coming. From my last mission it's confirmed."

"Wait ! What do you mean by confirmed ?"

"We accidentally ran into Orochimaru during our last scouting mission. And from the info we retrieved, he was planning something and allies with sound village. He will definitely come to the forest of death."

"Well it's not like it's unexpected ."

"Naruto, I want you to take this seriously. I have noticed your relationship with Sasuke has improved. But I don't want you to risk yourself trying to save him."

"What do you mean ?" Naruto frowned toward Tenten.

"What I am saying is not to show off much of your skills especially the chakra creation. I can try to remove Sasuke's curse seal. And besides I have plans for Danzo. That old rat is trying to control me. And Sasuke's departure is important for this."

"... I understand. I will never have shown him that skill anyway. I don't want that pedo to take any interest in me." Naruto laughed and so so did Tenten.

"Anyway , how much are you going to show off in chunin exams ?"

"I will show off only in finals. Not before that."

"I guessed."

"Hey, Tenten, can you atleast save old man third ?"

"No, it's impossible. His death is important to seal away first and second Hokage. While I might try to use another seal, reaper death seal is the most effective."

"Is...is there truly no other way ?"

"I... there is another way. But it won't work on them. Impure world resurrection. I have never seen the technique, but from anime and my own fuinjutsu knowledge, it's a kind of contract summoning seal. You draw a contract with a soul and summon them using another vessel. So if you want them to stop then there are three ways. First, to seal away there souls. Second sever the contract in which case the soul will be free of control. Or finally to resurrect them permanently. The last method is my own theory. If you apply time reversal seal, theoretically it's possible to truly revive the dead. But if there natural life span is over, it might not work. I mean, it's just my theory. "

Tenten explained.

"Wait , what do you mean by time reversal seal ?" Naruto asked surprised.

"The seal on my forehead."

"Wait I thought that's like a healing seal or chakra storage seal."

"No, I call it Re: seal. It reverse time for my body for ten minutes. It is a kind of time reversal seal. But what I am talking about must work in a grander scale. According to my calculations, the maximum amount of time that can be reversed for something or someone is two decades. And that's just a theory. So the third method won't work on either of the Hokages."

"I see." Naruto replied solemnly.

They returned to Tazuna's house after the sun went down.

"Tsunami san, it's delicious." Naruto complemented Tsunami.

"Thank you." The woman smiled in response.

"So how's your training ?" Kakashi asked eye smiling.

"Nothing special. We sparred." Tenten voice was flat.

"You sure ? No after spar steamy moments ? I am sure Hokage sama has warned you to not to do anything intemate untill you reach 18." Kakashi asked teasingly.

In response, Tenten gave him a flat look. Naruto started blushing. Sakura's jaw was wide open. Sasuke was looking surprised too.

"It was you. You are spying on us. When ?"

Tenten asked sounding as neutral as possible.

"You know when you are replicating the scenes from icha icha series. Where the heroine and hero was fighting with each other and after hero defeated heroine, they..." He giggled perversely. "Well in your case, you are on the top. And-" but before Kakashi could speak further, Tenten shut him up. "Shut up Kakashi !"

Naruto's face was red as a tomato. And Tenten is suffering the effects from it. Naruto has gained a lot of control over his harem cheat. But still, Tenten struggled under it's effect.

"Well I am not saying to stop, but not to do -"

"I said to shut up Kakashi !" In response he just lifted his arms in surrender and giggled perversely.

"You !" Sakura decided to confront them after Kakashi .Or more specifically Naruto. She was already blushing.

"You have a-already-"

"There are children present here Sakura." Tenten cut her off with a glare.

Kakashi was enjoying it wholeheartedly.

The next day Naruto stayed in the house while the entire team went to the bridge. It was about time that Zabuza recovered. So I ordered the entire team to go to the bridge. And sure enough, Zabuza appeared with a thick screen of mist. It was a dramatic entrance and a lot of mocking. But Tenten was focused on her target. And soon Zabuza introduced haku and the fight broke out.
