It was only after the door was completely broken, did the two of them saw the entirety of the creature which looked human except for the left hand which seemed to have grown excess muscles and was devoid of skin.
The woman looked deranged as she wet her lips with an extremely long tongue before giving them a creepy smile. Larcen made eye contact with his new friend before nodding slightly.
"Follow me.", he said as he threw one of the bags at the lady's face and ran towards it right after he did so. He re-activated his flow state and the moment he did, everything went eerily silent. He simply ran as fast as he could and he did pass the lady, only to feel something grab his shoulder.
Fearing the worst, he put in more power into his legs and directly jumped down from the first floor. He could still feel the hand on his shoulder and he quickly leveraged himself over the creature right before coming in contact with the ground.
He felt pain course throughout his body but he forced himself to roll away as he didn't feel any grip on himself. Standing up he glanced at the mutated lady before taking a few steps back and looked up at Alan who was looking down at him from the first floor and threw down a few things before running down.
The lady's body jerked before she stood up and without giving him any time, she lunged at him. The moment she was close though, the thing that greeted her wasn't the flesh that she was expecting but a rock-hard punch.
Larcen panted as he jumped away from her after the punch and ran even further before running towards Alan's bike when he saw him running away in the opposite direction with his makeshift weapons.
He felt cheated when he saw the person who saved him once, abandon him when things were dire but he shook off the weird feeling before sending the bike to his warehouse slot and continued running. He turned back to see if the lady was following him but to his surprise, he saw her running in the direction of Alan.
He slowed down, hoping to recover his lost stamina after continuous usage of the flow state in the wrong way.
'I'll try to keep it going next time onwards depending on the situation. Canceling the flow state and re-entering it feels like a waste of precious stamina.', he thought as he pulled out a machete from his warehouse.
The road was empty and he finally had the chance to check his system. He did exactly that but this time, he also paid attention to his surroundings.
There was nothing new in the system except information on the already existing features that he did not know and the way he could get system points other than selling things in the shop.
The merging of towers caused a mass eruption of systems that were given to all the existing survivors but they would only be given a notice after a few hours at night. The system server was a huge thing and unlike what he had expected, he did not have complete control over it.
Every time people killed the monsters, they would be rewarded with system points but they only got 30% of what they would've earned if not for him and the system taking the rest.
He would get 10% of the system points and 60% would go to the system for its autonomous functions. There were things called skill chests, stat pills, and recovery pills in the shop and they were automatically manufactured by using the system points under autonomous mode.
Larcen had no control over it other than changing the cost of the things he would put up at the shop as a merchant. His manufacturer skill was connected to the system server and he could unlock the automatic replication and sell function using system points.
He discarded all the notifications and looked at the number beside system points which had changed from 0 to 2 and that made him sigh in relief.
He didn't waste any time and directly bought a warehouse slot for 1 system point before using the last point to manufacture Energy Bars. To his surprise, the last warehouse slot filled up with 100 bars.
'I expected around 10 of them...', he mused as he brought one out and munched on it. A few steps later, he stopped in his tracks and stared at the gray creature that stared back at him for a few seconds before it pounced towards him.
He didn't run this time and instead, he swung his machete, cutting halfway through the creature's neck. He thought it was over but that was a big mistake on his end as the creature swung its dagger at his arm as its life left its body.
Larcen winced as he clenched his arm due to the pain but soon came to his senses and pulled out a pack of tissues and used a quarter of them to press on his wound. It did stop the bleeding after a while but it was only because the cut wasn't too deep.
He expected to get a system point or two for killing the creature but he got nothing.
"Fuck, I can't get antiseptics for now", he cursed before he took off his shirt and tied it tightly around the cut.
'I need to find a place to rest as soon as possible', he thought as he used his inspection skill on the dead creature.

Curious, he waited for seventeen seconds and the body simply disintegrated into particles before flying into the air.
After learning about the new function, he left the place and began jogging, hoping to find some kind of place he could use to hide. Unfortunately for him, he did not consider the reason why he had encountered a Goblin there.
Add the book to your library guys, I'd really appreciate it if you did so.
Now, it's time to get some much-needed sleep.
