God...
What is a god?
Once it was thought that gods were beings with unimaginable power, with unsurpassed abilities.
The reality is that many gods lack strength, they are very stupid and pathetic, and there are even mortals capable of humiliating them.
I know... I went through a similar humiliation.
...
At a very young age, I realized the difference between me and my brother. Thor would be powerful even if he just slept and ate. I, on the other hand, had to strive and study magic from my mother, even from Surtur, turning my back on my father and Asgard, but he betrayed me first!
I know it...
I understood it after everything came to light, after I was defeated and my father appeared before me, the father of all treated me like a son; I saw it in his eyes.
I was imprisoned; originally, I was supposed to be bound to a stone with a serpent torturing me for eternity. I don't blame them; it's a suitable punishment from my point of view.
It was thanks to my mother's intervention that this did not happen... the woman who, regardless of all my actions, never hated me, and I still consider her my mother.
But the problem is not love!
No matter how you paint it or if they consider me their son!
I, Loki, should have been raised for what I was destined for as a prince, but my father gave me the illusion that I could be the King of Asgard!
He gave me hope that if I tried hard enough, I could get the throne. Every century, every decade, every year, every day of my life, I lived thinking I would be the King! Or at least have a chance!
That was a lie, and Odin knows it!
Thor was always the heir!
I was just a clown!
You can love me as much as you want, Father, but you won't change that lie!
AND IF YOU DON'T GIVE ME A THRONE, I'LL GET IT MYSELF!!!
...
One quiet morning...
Tony was in his workshop until Pepper called him and scolded him for having a model at Stark Industries claiming to be pregnant.
Captain Rogers was training on a punching bag as usual, then he took out his phone, not understanding very well how it worked, so he ended up frustrated and threw it against the wall; it was the third phone.
Hulk snored sprawled on the roof of a building with food remnants in his mouth. He had escaped from Stark Tower because he wanted a Happy Meal from McDonald's; in the end, he scared the employees but unexpectedly managed to behave and buy his Happy Meal.
Thor was in an alley not knowing how to get back to the bay where the helicarrier was; he ended up being scammed by a guy who sold him a map, it was a map of Hawaii, but it didn't matter because Thor didn't even know how to use it.
Carol was watching TV in an apartment Fury had arranged for her; many years had passed since she returned and she noticed the changes on Earth, then she noticed her clothes were outdated for current fashion. She thought about buying something more suitable; suddenly, someone's face flashed in her mind, and she got angry.
...
In the Walker family home, it was also peaceful.
Natasha was in charge while Allen was away. Natasha opened the door to Gwen's room slightly.
Gwen was studying, and Gwen's parents already knew she had a room at Allen's house.
Natasha smiled and went to visit MJ without disturbing Gwen.
MJ was listening to music in bed, while books lay abandoned on her desk. Natasha shook her head and went to check on the dolls.
Artoria was in the living room watching some news; she turned and nodded.
Allen had told them he would only leave the pendants and return, so the girls stayed, except for 2B who accompanied him.
The sound of the shower caught Natasha's attention; Rebecca was taking a bath, it seemed something had gone wrong in her workshop, and she ended up covered in burnt oil.
As for why Rebecca bathes in the common bathroom instead of her own room, she hopes Allen will find her while she's there and have an intimate moment with him.
Bocchi was wearing headphones while playing her guitar; Natasha smiled because Bocchi seemed like a very fragile girl, and it was rare to see her enjoying herself without feeling pressured.
Nokotan was not there; it seems she also secretly followed Allen...
Natasha finished checking the rooms and returned down the hallway... she felt strangely calm.
"There was a time when it was just him and me. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss those times of having him all to myself, but this place has become warmer and more welcoming..."
The doorbell rang, and Natasha went to open it. There was Felicia with a bag.
Felicia smiled and Natasha looked at the beautiful girl with some confusion. 'Now that I think about it, at some point, this white-haired girl became so close to Allen,' thought Natasha.
It's true that, unlike Gwen and MJ, there wasn't a specific moment when Felicia became Allen's girlfriend; it was gradual until at some point, Felicia could enter the apartment and even stay there.
Natasha smiled and let Felicia in.
"I brought some snacks..." Felicia looked around suspiciously. "Is Allen here?"
"Don't worry; he's not here. We can eat this in the living room," Natasha chuckled.
Allen, being a kitchen monster, doesn't like junk food in excess; sometimes, they have to eat contraband treats. Allen himself would say this is an exaggeration, but the truth is he prefers them not to eat junk.
Natasha and Felicia entered the living room with Artoria, who wasn't wearing armor but a sweater and a long skirt.
The three women smiled and sat together. Artoria wasn't as inaccessible as many believed, of course, this was limited to Allen's family.
...
Today was a peaceful day, truly...
On the outskirts of New York, two girls stepped off a bus, one redhead and the other with brown hair and white streaks.
Both girls were nervously standing in front of a gate leading to a huge mansion.
They were Rogue and Ruby, or more accurately, they were Anna Marie and Jean Grey.
"It looks like we're here... I'm still nervous," Anna said as she gazed at her future.
"Yeah, but I think we'll be okay," Jean replied, also nervous but believing it was the right decision to come to this place and finally meet "someone" in person.
Rogue took a deep breath; they were afraid, understandably so, having hidden their powers very well, but coming here meant revealing their secret.
They had agreed to come because of Allen, not just to find him but also due to the overall perception of mutants. While some mutants still caused problems, Allen's existence was a beacon that mutants weren't uncontrollable monsters.
With Jean, her parents had never feared her as her powers mysteriously never spiraled out of control, which seemed somehow linked to Allen.
For Rogue, the situation was similar; she never ran away from home after almost killing a boy. For better or worse, her powers activated with an animal, traumatizing her but not to the original extent.
Both girls had been invited to Professor X's academy, but in the end, they attended of their own free will.
As a side note, Erik, who was preparing to capture Jean Grey, halted his plans at the last minute for two reasons: Emma Frost's intervention and Allen's power revelation.
Starting to kidnap mutants could put Erik's Brotherhood in an antagonistic position with Allen, as they didn't yet know if he would join them or oppose them.
Until Allen defined his stance, Erik didn't plan anything extreme; this also included the government's plans to build weapons against mutants.
Creating something specifically designed to kill mutants, with Allen being one, wouldn't look good, especially after his encounter with Sentry. No, ever since Superman and Darkseid, it wasn't a good idea to bother Allen, though that was provisional; the world was composed of ambition, bad intentions, self-interest, and foolish people. Even in his own world, more than one person wanted Allen Walker to disappear.
Upon entering the academy, they were greeted by a man in a wheelchair.
"Welcome."
This start might have been much later compared to canon, but Charles Xavier officially started his mutant academy.
Rogue wasn't used to dealing with people after being isolated for so long, so she stood behind Jean, who stepped forward.
"Professor X, are you the one who's been talking to me?"
"I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable, but telepathy is what I do."
"Well, it doesn't matter. I knew sooner or later I wouldn't be able to hide my powers."
"I see you've adopted a calmer attitude than I expected..."
Jean chuckled. "Of course, thanks to Allen, I'd feel silly being afraid of my powers after all I've seen."
Charles didn't expect this attitude from Jean, but partly it was due to her interactions in Allen's Chat, clearly acting this way because of Allen.
To her, Professor X was no better than a stranger. After all, Jean owes Charles nothing, as she would if he had saved her. In fact, Professor X is not such a good person, Charles in some universes caused bad situations for students to gain their trust.
"Miss..." Charles glanced at Rogue, understanding she would need time to earn Jean Grey's respect.
"Anna Marie, but I prefer to be called Rogue..."
Rogue started feeling anxious being out here, and Charles realized this wasn't going well and guided them inside.
Charles felt concerned; he intended for the students to be more than a group but to consider this place their home and their fellow mutants their brothers and sisters.
However, more than one new student had shown a high level of independence and rebellion; it wasn't surprising.
Unlike in a universe without Allen, mutants didn't feel as oppressed, hunted, and rejected. Many of them wanted to become superheroes simply because the environment had changed. Unfortunately, there were still mutants who hated ordinary humans and humans who hated mutants.
"I suppose this is also a good path."
With a sigh, Charles accepted reality, but even if he didn't manage to keep many young mutants after they graduated, he would continue to do his best to keep them from going down the wrong path.
...
Tearju finished preparing for her upcoming classes; her mood was good, and she couldn't stop smiling. It had been a long time since she had enjoyed waiting for something so much.
She didn't regret coming to New York.
Tearju's eyes glanced out her window; she had a date with Allen on Saturday. It might be wrong from some point of view, but she didn't care.
"Maybe my life isn't so bad..."
It was already afternoon, and the sun shone with a golden hue; Tearju's smile widened as the sunset.
Out of nowhere, the sun took on a very strange green hue. Tearju opened her eyes and stepped onto the small balcony.
"What?"
Like her, everyone in New York watched the same situation unfold. And it didn't just happen in New York; in Los Angeles, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Moscow, in the top ten cities worldwide, the sky lit up green.
...
Loki sat on a building with his eyes closed, one of his hands covered by a magical green cloak; the scepter along with the Mind Stone amplified his magical capacity and control.
"It works better than I thought..." Loki said with a serious look, not rejoicing at what he was about to do.
Depending on the universe, Loki could be very powerful; even in the MCU, classic Loki was able to recreate Asgard with just illusions.
The portal generator had a flaw in that there was only one. Loki decided to create such a powerful illusion that it could perfectly duplicate that machine... and he did it. Not only that, Loki used the Mind Stone on himself to amplify it to ten machines.
The Tesseract is the Space Stone and, as its name suggests, can ignore distances; Loki could teleport and brought the ten machines to different heavily populated cities. At the same time, the Tesseract connected them all...
"I expected nothing less from the Mind Stone; it's so strong that even I can't fully control it." Loki began to bleed from the nose, but he didn't care; it was a small price to pay for handling two Infinity Stones.
Ten holes opened in the sky; they were terrifying, and panic ensued, alarms blaring. The Chitauri in New York didn't seem like much because not many could pass through the portal in New York.
If it had taken longer to close it, millions would have poured through.
Unfortunately, Loki in this universe was much more capable than his original counterpart.
"I am Loki and I am burdened with glorious purpose"..."
Loki's words didn't sound like the rantings of a mad villain, his tone of voice was low and almost inaudible.
Loki thought of his mother, father, and brother, but immediately he shook off those thoughts.
Loki's mind was working against him. "Don't look away, Loki... you did this to yourself,"
...
In New York, alarms blared; Gwen and MJ suited up immediately, as did Artoria and Rebecca.
Flying vehicles began falling from the sky with humanoids in them, and several gigantic creatures flying through the sky as if swimming appeared.
...
At SHIELD, alarms blared; Fury entered the command center and noticed everyone froze.
"Commander Hill, what does this mean?!" Fury was annoyed; they were already prepared for Loki's invasion, no one should be surprised and stop working; millions of lives were at risk.
"Director Fury..."
Maria turned with a helpless look. Fury looked at the global map made by the many satellites at Fury's disposal.
Fury's face fell several times seeing the many signals at once...
"May God have mercy..." Fury said.
...
In Tokyo, the situation was more serious; no Chitauri, no spaceships, no flying monsters came out of there. The hole in the sky lit up red, as people ran in all directions.
A beam of energy fell from the sky, forming an incandescent pillar in the center of Japan. This was followed by a massive explosion that moved in all directions.
There was no invasion; it was just an attack to destroy everything...
