Logan's eyebrows twitched immediately upon hearing this.

"Someone has said the same thing to me before, and that Demon Race member deceived me. Do you know what became of him?"

The thin Demon Race member swallowed hard, and although he had not witnessed it, he seemed to be able to imagine it.

Nonetheless, he boldly said,

"My lord, please trust me. I am truly not like other members of the Demon Race. If you don't believe me, you can try me. If there's any dishonesty on my part, you can also kill me. You know, I am very weak and pose no threat to you."

Logan did not speak but simply observed him, as if discerning the truth from lies.

He remembered the words he had heard when he first arrived and the sight of this person being bullied and beaten to the brink of death. Finally, he decided to trust once more.
