TIME REMNANT

A man in a black suit was moving around quickly, working on various equipments at once.

He stood in front of a small, cylindrical device that was emitting a faint blue glow. He slowed down and started to earnestly work on that particular device, tinkering with it until the blue light it was emitting began to glow brighter.

Taking a step back, he delicately picked up a larger ring-shaped device with a series of coils adorned with runes and attached it to the earlier device. Next, he added a dome-shaped containment field to it.

"Now for the final step. I hope you were worth offending the entire CCPD for." He said looking at a mini nuclear reactor on the table Infront of him.

THE NEXT DAY...

"Any leads on the case so far?" Barry asked, walking into Joe's office.

"Well, we've been on the case for a while and have narrowed down the location of the withdrawal to a local bank in Danville." Joe said, shutting down his PC and grabbing his coat.

"But this is a little unusual." Barry said.

"Why's that?" Joe paused.

"If you think about it again. We seem to be dealing with a speedster, someone like the flash. If he has the ability to get things done...well...in a flash, why would he be this easy to track."

"Think about it. It's almost as if he's leaving some subtle clues behind for us to pick up." He said running his hand along his chin.

'As if he wants...me...to find him. I need to contact the team.'

"So, you're saying that you found tachyon particles at the scene of the crime scene. And while tracking this Metahuman at the CCPD you've might have managed to uncover his location? Hmm." Caitlin said taking off her glasses and rubbing her eyes.

"Yeah, it's also worthy to note that for someone who could hatch a scheme like that, I do not believe that it would be this simple to pin them down. We'd have to be careful." Barry added again.

"Anyway, Joe said he could be in either of three locations. I'll mark them out on the map and you can help me find the one with the highest energy readings over the past 24hours."

"...because tachyon particles require an absurd amount of energy to generate and stabilize. Not bad." Cisco commented, hitting him lightly on the shoulder.

Cisco brought out a display of the map on his monitor and Barry pointed to three spots on the map. "Here, here and here"

"Alright. I'm running an energy-level search on all three locations right...now"

Immediately, they all watched the energy levels on two locations remain green while on the last location, the colors kept rising until it turned a dark red. Then the radius on the red color kept decreasing until it was only a small dot on the map.

"Seems we've found our speedster. And the energy signature seems to be more condensed around a specific area. He probably has a device to contain the energy. He's not going to be an easy foe I can assure you."

"Be careful Barry. Don't just take him at face value." Cisco added before Barry nodded and changed into his suit, racing down the city.

When he got to the building, he found it to be empty, save for a few work benches littered with scrap metals and electrical devices.

Walking further into the building, he saw a man with his back facing him. There was a eerie aura around him, cold and detached—repelling everything from around him.

"I see you've finally arrived. I've been waiting for you...Barry Allen." The man said turning around, exposing a face covered with a black mack of same design with his suit.

'Barry I detect high energy signatures coming off of this person. Whatever you do, do not underestimate him.'

'Got it.'

"That explains why it was so easy to track you down. And who the hell's Barry Allen?" Barry said, his body slightly stiff from the killing intent oozing off of the speedster's body.

"You know, for a while, I've been keeping my eyes on you Barry. And I have to admit you have been quite interesting to nurture." The man said, taking little steps towards Barry.

"The only thing you need to know is that I, Zoom, will end you. Now, let's see just how far you've come." he said and let his aura loose, radiating a sickening amount of killing intent.

Immediately a quest popped up on Barry's system.

Zoom recovered swiftly, taunting Barry with a sinister grin. He increased his speed, circling his opponent with a whirlwind of lightning-fast strikes. Barry bore the brunt of the attack, each impact sending sparks flying.

As g.Zoom raced around him, Barry had to think fast. He reached into his speedster arsenal, creating a tornado with practiced ease. Debris swirled around him, aiming to disrupt Zoom's control. But Zoom merely laughed, phasing through the chaos and appearing behind Barry. With a burst of speed, Barry spun to face him, narrowly dodging Zoom's outstretched hand.

Then, Barry reappeared behind Zoom and delivered a devastating punch that sent him hurtling into the night sky.
