"So early? Who could it be?" Upon hearing the sound from outside the door, Mr. Lewis mumbled to himself while making his way.

Then, upon hearing the beeping sound from the fingerprint lock opening, he knew it must be Peggy Lewis.

Because only the three of them in the family could directly open the household lock with their fingerprints.

"Peggy?" Mr. Lewis was just passing the kitchen on his way to the door.

Turning his head to catch a glimpse of Mrs. Lewis, he said to her, "Why is Peggy here so early in the morning?"

Mrs. Lewis, busy cooking in the kitchen, was drowned out by the roaring noise of the exhaust fan, and therefore did not hear the door opening.

Hearing Mr. Lewis's words, she came out to have a look. "Is Peggy here?"

"You don't suppose they have had a fight, do you?" Mrs. Lewis asked with concern.

Otherwise, why would she come over so early?

Weren't they all getting along just fine during lunch together yesterday?
