"If it was just an ordinary trust-fund baby, I wouldn't even give them a glance," Wendy said with a high standard. "It's rare to find someone of such high quality in Ella Doone's social circle. This time, I'm quite interested in developing something with him."

"But his family is already well-off in Belfard, and he has seen a lot during his time studying abroad. His outlook is not ordinary," Wendy continued, "It seems like he might be interested in me, but who knows if it's just for a fling while he's in Nork City."

Wendy makes it clear that she's not some naive little girl with unrealistic dreams.

Her experience means that she won't fall for the usual tricks played on the less knowledgeable.

"Exactly," Christy Xenos agreed, nodding her head, "These people can be pretty deceptive."

Wendy went on, "Which is why I'm not being too pushy with him – I need to keep him interested. For now, we're both still testing the waters."
