Episode 40

THE JESUS SLAY QUEENS 2

Episode 40

"I want to specially thank each one of you for your endurance. I want to say you guys have really been awesome. Young people seeking God in this distracted generation. It's not a mistake that God has chosen you. It has everything to do with that scripture which says that the earnest expectation of the creature awaits the manifestation of the sons of God.

There is a generation that is awaiting your manifestation and failure to meet with the demands of God is as good as presenting God as a failure to the world.

Psalm 78:41. Yes, again and again they tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel. There's a limitation of the power of God that has nothing to do with God. It has everything to do with us and our nonchalant attitude towards our relationship with God.

But the painful part of it is that your failure will not be seen as yours. It will be seen as God's failure, not yours. So that's why we must not limit the power of God in our generation. Is that okay?"

"Yes ma!" We answered in unison.

We were extremely tired right now. We just needed to sleep as quickly as possible. I felt like I was going to faint anytime soon. Nobody told me 3 days dry fasting would be as rigorous as this. It is well sha! I am just trusting God for strength.

"Pray in one minute. Tell the Lord to open your eyes and cause you to understand what he will be teaching you tonight. Go ahead and pray. The program will soon be over Lord, may I not miss out on what you have for me in this meeting.

We all bowed our heads and prayed under our breath for a few minutes.

"In Jesus name we pray!"

"Amen!" We chorused.

"Carry your bibles and open to the book of Numbers 6:1. We are going to be looking into the topic, the spiritual Nazarite and the price for the anointing.

But before we read that passage, I want to ask you guys a question. What's the meaning of holiness? What does the word holy mean?"

Ope put up her hand.

"Yes dear."

"To be holy means to be righteous. To live a life that God is happy with," she answered.

"Hmmmmmmm! That's not the answer."

Romeo put up his hand.

"Yes young man."

"Holiness means when your life is holy. I mean when you live a holy life."

We were all giggling.

"Young man you have not answered my question oooo."

"I mean holiness means to be holy," he replied.

"Chai! Roberto! Na who do you?" Susan teased.

"Don't worry, Susan will help you out. Susan!" Mummy called.

"Ma!" She answered, awe struck.

"Can you help your Roberto?"

"I was only saying that...."

"Yes, can you help him? I know you're a great helper, please help him out!"

"Well, to the best of my understanding, to be holy means to stop living a dirty life. Stop doing those things that God hates. Don't disobey God's word and do that thing he wants you to do in the bible. That's my own definition for holiness."

Ella and I were already clapping.

"Who told you to clap? She's wrong."

"Ehn!" We exclaimed.

We were all shocked to find out all the answers so far were not correct.

"Juliet help your people out."

"Holiness means obedience to God's word. When you obey God's word and do all that he commands, you're no longer a filthy person in his sight. You become holy to him."

"Hmmmmmmm, I'll score you 40 out of 100."

"Haaaaaaaa! Mummy I tried oooo!"

"That's why I'm giving you 40. I'm supposed to give you 12."

"Yeh! What kind of simple but technical question is this?" I asked as everyone laughed.

"Ella! Help them out."

"To be holy means to be separate. To separate yourself to the service of God.

"Prove it!"

"Ma!"

"Prove that definition with two scriptural examples."

"Before I do that, I would love to add. Holiness is separation to the worship of a deity or religious purposes.

Now in the bible, we saw Moses standing before the burning bush and he was instructed by God to take off his sandals, because the ground he was standing on is holy ground.

The question is, how can the ground live a life that is pleasing to God? So why would God refer to the ground as holy ground? It simply means that ground was separated from the worship of God, so it was holy, sacred and separated unto him.

My second example is found in the book of Daniel, when king Belshazzar was having a feast to his gods. He was worshipping the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.

And he ordered they should bring the cups and basins used to sacrifice to the God of Israel to entertain his guest. Those cups were sacred and holy, but he insisted, disregarding the God of Israel. You don't temper with an object dedicated to the worship of a diety.

Immediately he went ahead to desecrate those objects of worship to God, a hand appeared on the wall and began to write his death sentence.

In the same way, when a man is seperated unto God, he is holy. 2 Corinthians 6:17. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

Also in the book of Romans 12:1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

It becomes glaring to us that when we present ourselves to God, we become holy."

"Beautiful!" Mummy said and we all clapped our hands.

"That's what holiness means. Now, I want to ask a question, righteousness and holiness, are they the same thing?"

"Hmmmmmmm, this is a technical question!" Romeo said.

"Yes Robert."

"Ma!"

"Answer the question."

"Haaaaaaaa! I was only saying that the question is technical oooo! I don't know the answer."

"It's a yes or no question. Are they the same thing?"

"Hmmmmmmm, let me say no!"

"Why are they different?"

"Haaaaaaaa! Grandma please na! Mama never told me your class is usually question and answer ooo!"

"Why are you calling me grandma? Oh! I get it! Juliet is your mama and I'm her mama, that makes me your grandma! That's lovely!"

"Yes ma!"

"So answer the question. Why are they different from each other?"

"Because, holiness, just as Ella said, means to be separated unto God. But righteousness, means to do what is right."

We all burst into laughter.

"Why are you guys laughing?" Mummy asked.

"He said holiness means to be holy. Now he's saying righteousness means to do what is right," Ope answered.

"I hope you know he's correct?" Mummy dropped the bombshell.

We were all shocked.

"Yes, that's what righteousness means. It means doing the right thing, check your dictionary to confirm. In a more advanced definition, it means obedience to a divine or moral law."

"Wow! I am really shocked by what I am learning tonight," Ope whispered.

"Now let's get back to Numbers chapter 6 verse 1."

I quickly opened my bible and read.

"And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Verse 2. Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When either man or woman shall separate themselves to vow a vow of a Nazarite, to separate themselves unto the LORD:

Verse 3. He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried.

Verse 4. All the days of his separation shall he eat nothing that is made of the vine tree, from the kernels even to the husk.

Verse 5. All the days of the vow of his separation there shall no razor come upon his head: until the days be fulfilled, in the which he separateth himself unto the LORD, he shall be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.

Verse 6. All the days that he separateth himself unto the LORD he shall come at no dead body.

Verse 7. He shall not make himself unclean for his father, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister, when they die: because the consecration of his God is upon his head.

Verse 8. All the days of his separation he is holy unto the LORD."

"This is what God said about the spiritual Nazarite. Listen to me carefully, every anointing has a consecration that sustains it. Every power of God upon the life of any man of God, has an instruction that maintains it in his life."

Ope's hand was up.

"Yes!"

"Ma, what's consecration? Is it also the same thing as holiness?"

"Yes, but it's an advanced word for holiness."

"Jesus please! I'm getting confused!" She complained.

"Holy spirit help me break these mysteries down to their understanding!" Mummy whispered.

Indeed, we were getting confused.

"Holiness is a general separation to God, but consecration is a specific demand God makes from you in order to deal with a certain weakness in your life and make you fit for his use.

So let's say, holiness is like God calling everyone. But consecration, is God calling us by our names one by one. Many are called, few are chosen. That's what it means. I don't know if you're still confused?"

"I understand better!"

"Can we celebrate Jesus?"

We all clapped our hands for our wonderful invisible daddy.

Now Samson is a Nazarite, but how many of you also know that he was not the only Nazarite in the bible? Who was the second Nazarite we all know in the bible?"

"Haaaaaaaa! Apart from Samson, was there another Nazarite?" I asked.

"You guys know him very well in your bible? Infact, he's one of the anointed men of God you read about in your bible."

Wow! This bible study is really getting interesting. Another Nazarite and mummy is claiming we all know him as a man of God in the bible. Who could that be?

"Elijah!" I answered.

"No!"

"Daniel!" Ope answered.

"No!"

"Wait ooo. Mummy I want to confirm! Was it written in the bible that this man of God was a Nazarite, or bible scholars were the ones who researched and found out that the man of God was a Nazarite?" Ella asked.

"Yes and we would also open our bibles to read where it is found in the bible."

"My goodness! This is incredible! I really want to know who this man is!" Ella replied.

"So who is telling us?"

"Mummy tell us ooo! We don't know the answer!" Susan replied.

"It's Samuel!"

Wow! Unbelievable!

"Open to the book of 1 Samuel 1:9."

I quickly opened to the passage and read.

"So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD.

Verse 10. And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore.

Verse 11. And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head."

Wow! Incredible! How come we never saw this in our bibles?

To be Continued....

The class continues tomorrow. Come with your jotter and pen.

2 Thessalonians 3:1- 2.

Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.
