His barrage of blows sent the creature flying a couple of meters, and it nearly landed inside the water. A tinge of hope appeared in Tristan's mind when the beast refused to stand for a few seconds.

'It's dead?' He wondered, stepping closer. His instincts, however, posed a contrary opinion to that suggestion.

A wave of danger flooded Tristan's mind, and he moved without thought, performing a side step as though he wished to dodge something.

He did.

A sharp surge of air sped past him, shaking his figure with its might and nearly making him lose his balance.

The wave of sharpness crashed into the beach's elevated portion and a large gash appeared on it, nearly making it crumble.

Tristan cursed, since the next time he looked at the creature it was now mid-air. It had jumped, and he wondered what it hoped to achieve since he could move faster than it on land. And he did.
