"Okayyyy done!" Ailee clapped happy with the setting she spent an hour on.

There was a blanket spread near the wild but maintained flowers in his huge garden and on it were chicken sandwiches, garlic and cheese pasta with fresh fruit juice.

"Let's go and call sugar now. I bet he is watching Despicable Me. He is obsessed with those little yellow dudes I tell you Doodle"

She talked animatedly with the puppy who she named Doodle.

She skipped her way to his office with Doodle hot on her tail.

knock knock

"You don't have to knock coco"

"I know but I prefer to"

"Am I allowed to leave now? I am fucking loosing my mind here" he asked holding her hand and rubbing circles on the back of it.

"Yeah we just came to escort you sir." She said bowing slightly.

Only then he looked at the puppy looking at both of them wagging his tail.

He grimaced and Doodle barked at him.

"Come on I have a surprise for you" she said smiling sweetly.

"And what is that?"

"A surprise." she nodded.

He rolled his eyes playfully and started walking out.

"Oh no no wait-"

She came and stood infront of him.

"Close your eyes. And no cheating."

He sighed and after walking downstairs he shut his eyes and Ailee guided him outside talking about how it were collective efforts of her and the puppy.

"I'm opening my eyes" he said as soon as she announced that they were here.

He quickly opened his eyes and paused.

Her heart thumped loudly in her chest. Did he not like it?

"Well? " she asked nervously biting her lip.

Whereas on the other hand he was having a hard time understanding his emotions. He could clearly see her efforts. It was simple but done with so much love he doubted if he was worthy of it or not.

"Did you not like it?" she asked willing herself to not cry.

He finally turned around and cupped her face planting a soft but firm kiss on her forehead. Pulling away he looked at her and stroked her cheek with his thumb.

"Fucking loved it. Thank you baby" he said making her give a toothy smile.

"And Doodle too" he added.

"You're welcome"

They sat on the blanket and she gave him a purple flower.

"You said that you wanted to go on a date but since you can't go outside I set this little date for us here" she explained.

"Appreciate you love" she blushed and played with the bracelet on his hand that she gifted him.

" But I could've stayed in the bedroom"

" No it has the clear view of the garden. Couldn't have that happening now." She replied looking proud of herself and busied herself with serving food.

They ate and talked, well mostly Ailee did. He often found himself just admiring her talking and eating so carelessly. She also fed him his medicine after their meal.

"So now is the time for books" she said holding up one near her face.

He wordlessly put his head on her lap and closed his eyes.

She smiled down warmly at him and read each line softly and explaining extra details just in case he doesn't get the references used in the book because he doesn't know anything about that stuff.

Three chapters later he was out like a light and she knew it would happen so she brought an extra comforter to drape over him.

Doodle who was lying by their side all this time, was also snoring. So she continued with her book just cherishing the peaceful moment.

About two hours later she decided to wake him up and get inside since it was getting dark.

"Zai come on let's go inside you can rest properly there."

"This is better" he said burying his face in her stomach and wrapped his arms around her waist.

She let him stay like that for another 20 minutes massaging his head with her small hands.

When he finally woke up they packed everything up and went inside and she checked his temperature and it was alot better now.

The couple cuddled rest of the day and played with Doodle time to time.

Next morning Xavier woke up feeling healthier and decided to take her to the police station and local dog shelter to check if there's been any missing report for the puppy.

"It will be fine Ailee." he said putting his hand on her thigh to stop it from bouncing out of nervousness.

"What if they ask us to return Doodle today itself?" she asked chewing on her bottom lip.

"I'll get you another one"

She just looked out of the window of the car silently disagreeing with him.

They reached the police station and asked one of the officers about the puppy.

Ailee was disheartened to know that there was indeed a report for him and they were asked to wait till the owners arrive.

"Yes thank you Mr Johnson"

She looked up to see an old couple approaching them with the officer.

"Oh! its you sweet girl" she said coming straight towards Ailee.

"Urh y-yes ma'am" she replied smiling a little.

It was the same woman whom she met in the park and played with her golden retriever.

"Was our little munchkin with you?" She looked surprised for a second but then smiled warmly.

"Yes he's adorable" she said looking at the pupper lovingly.

"Oh yes he is. We have three of them along with the sunshine you met in the park."

"N-nice. I wish I could have one like him too"

Xavier put his arm around her waist to remind her that it was not a big deal he would get her an even better dog, cat, elephant and whatever the fuck she like.

"Oh sweetie you can have him."

Her head shot up to look at the kind woman.

"Yeah we were looking for him because of his safety but we don't mind giving it to such a polite girl and my wife was very happy after meeting you that day. Very few youngsters like to spend time with older people you know. "

" Really? I can have him? " she asked with tears filling her eyes and unconsciously leaning back on his chest.

" Yes now come on what is your name?"

" Ailee and thank you so much"

They shared a few more words and left.

"I'm so happy" she squealed after sitting in the car.

He took her to Petco and left Doodle in the car even though Ailee insisted on bringing him inside.

She almost bought the whole store because everything looked cute and necessary to her.

What if he didn't like the smell of this shampoo she said and bought three extra as alternatives.

Then they stopped by Walmart as well to fill up his pantry that was starting to get empty.

She did all the shopping while he just followed her dragging the cart with him.

There she saw shark plushies and immediately picked up one and after hugging it she kept it back because she wasn't there for her but for him.

But him being him picked it up and put it in the cart and everything else she picked up and kept back.

When they reached the counter and when Ailee finally looked back at the cart she gasped audibly.

"Xav- what are you doing?"

"Paying" he said and swiped his card.

He took the receipt and walked out towards his car.

She stood there for a moment and followed him out.

"Why did you buy all of these? I was just looking at them because I was curious"

"Doesn't matter"

He returned the cart and opened the door gesturing her to sit but she didn't.

She moved ahead and hugged him.

"You know you are the best boyfriend I could've asked for. I want you to know that I appreciate everything that you do for me and sometimes it overwhelms me too but I wouldn't want it any other way."

To say he was surprised would be an understatement. He was never the one to deal with emotions especially as strong as he was feeling right now so he just hugged her back and awkwardly patted her head.

"It feels good to take care of you" he replied after sometime.

" It does?" she beamed.

" Mhmm"

They finally settled in car and went home.

"We're home baby" she said running into the house and straight in the living room carrying the puppy.

" Now we're family" she said peppering kisses all over his face.

Xavier enters with all the bags in his hand and look at the puppy with disdain.

"Take my charger from him while you're at it. Little bitch has been chewing on it since morning"

"Zai language"

He just scoffed and left.

She excitedly showed him all the stuff she got for him and put the groceries away.

"Take your medicines Zai" she called out from the stairs.

He came down pecked her lips and took the tablets from her hand.

Her phone started ringing and she smiled looking at Emma's name on the screen.

"Hello sista"

"Hi Lils I don't know where you are but you gotta come back ASAP"

"Why what did you do?" she asked smiling because Emma sounded happy as well.

"That's a surprise so hurry up"

"Alright"

She hung up and explained what it was about to the man who was looking at her confused.

"Emma called. She wants me at home today."

" Ok I'll drop you"

" Oh I can go by myself" she replied hurriedly.

" It's alright I have to go to the office too. Luka will be back in two days"

" Ok but please don't over work yourself and I'll be back to check up on you and Doodles"

" Why the fuck he is staying?"

" Because there's a lot going on in my house"

" Like what?"

" I don't know it yet but I'm sure I won't have time for him"

" Only for a few days"

" Yay thank you Sugar you're the sweetest"

He wore his jacket and got his keys to leave and Ailee informed Doodle that she is leaving and he should be a good boy and listen to his dad when she is away.

He opened the door for her and then got in himself. She sang along the lyrics of many songs that were playing on the radio especially when he left her in the car to take a business call.

Right now Like Crazy was playing and she tried to pull off one touchy move on him when he took a hold of her hand and kissed it.

"I'll miss your cuddles" she spoke randomly.

He paused and blinked

"Then move in with me or just let me sneak in every night"

" Hmm the latter option sounds good. Can you do it?"

" If you want"

She nodded smiling brightly and he parked infront of their back door.

"Aren't you forgetting something?"

The confusion on her face was a clear indication of her oblivious-ness.

"You got me treats?"

He sighed.

"Yeah a very expensive and rare one."

He unbuckled his seatbelt and pressed his lips on hers. He moved his lips gently to not overwhelm her but a few seconds later when she was finally catching up to him he increased his speed and it turned wild and needy quickly. Her hands finding their way to his hair and neck.

Ailee tapped on his arms twice to let him know that she couldn't breathe and they pulled away panting.

"Look at me"

She shyly shook her head. How will she face him? She was acting like a horny teenager just moments ago.

"Coco"

She quickly took a glimpse of his face and her eyes widened. His hair were all disheveled and a little blood could be seen on his bottom lip.

"Did I-" she sucked in a sharp breath.

"Did I do that to you?" Her mind was all hazy she couldn't remember it explicitly, just how it felt to have his mouth on hers was enough for her brain to go haywire.

"Yes my wild kitten"

He loved teasing her and looking at her blushing face that was impossibly red now.

"How you like the candy? I know you devoured it well" he smirked.

"Unlock the door please" her voice barely above whisper.

"What do you say when somebody gives you something?"

" T-Thank you"

" Your welcome baby"

As soon as he unlocked the door she ran from there so fast he was left wondering if she was actually a kitten.

He wiped the blood from his lip and chuckled

"Oh Ailee what are you doing to me?"
