Chapter 85. Two Pets

"Even if the whole world gives up, I won't let you pass!" The boy angrily said. Ace could see clear dedication inside the young Marine's eyes.

"But you will die?" Ace said.

"Then I'll die." The boy mirrored.

"I see." Ace said. Before the boy could even respond, he suddenly felt a heavy force on his will, and felt the world spin and just as he was about to lose consciousness, he remembered his own words and opened his eyes wideley and stood straight once again.

Ace was surprised, the Kid stood up against a small does of his Haki.

Once again, Ace used his conqueror's haki on the boy, and just as the boy was about to fall, he bit his own lips and awoke from the mental attack.

"Heh, not bad at all!" Ace chuckled. Even Jojo was surprised.

But Ace didnt feel like playing anymore. Suddenly the young marine felt like the sky fell on his head and shoulders, as everything went black.

The boy passed out. Ace used his Haki to knock him unconscious for real this time.

"Take him." Ace said to Jojo.

"A new crewmember?" Jojo asked as he picked up the young kid.

"No, it's a gift to someone." Ace said a she thought of his gramps.

This boy was able to stand up to his conqueror's haki, albeit he only used a little, but it still was very impressive.

Ace felt like the boy had lots of willpower and lots of potential, in fact, he even felt like the boy might have conqueror's haki. Not a bad find at all.

He still felt slightly... Well, slightly less than a little guilty, that his gramps only had spawns that rebelled against his wishes. Both His son and grandsons went against his wishes.

As Jojo picked up the purple haired boy and started walking, they heard an exhausted shout from ten or so meters. "WAIT!"

Ace and Jojo turned to the side and saw someone on the ground, bloody and beaten to a pulp, he was dressed in marine's attire.

"Huh?" Ace gasped, the marine boy that had shouted looked identical to the purple haired boy, but this one had pink hair. His eyes held the same determination the other boy had as he stared angrily at Ace from the ground, too exhaustsd to stand.

"Who are you?" Ace asked confused.

"Leave my brother alone! Or I will chase you to hell!" The boy angrily growled.

"Brother? Twins maybe?" Jojo questioned as they looked identical.

But this time, it was Jojo that released a small dose of Haki on the pink haired boy, and their surprise, they got the same results as before.

The boy seemed only to get angrier and found energy to pull himself up from the ground, barely, as his back was bent and knees were shaking. He seemed totally exhausted from fighting the Kid pirates.

Ace nodded at Jojo as he felt content.

Both of the brothers seemed to have the same potential.

Jojo released a much stronger Haki and knocked out the pink haired boy as well before picking him up.

Nearby, Nami had transported loads of treasures and valuablea to the big black ship, this was her last round as she sneaked out from the half destroyed marine base.

Suddenly she heard two people walking around the corner and she stopped to not get caught. Not because she was afraid, but it was instinct for her to be sneaky. To her surprise she heard the voices of her captain and vice-captain.

"Cap'n, these two look similar, which one do you think is best?" Jojos voice said.

'Did they find pets?' Nami wondered.

"Hmm, I don't know, they both look feral, make sure to beat them up if they missbehave." Nami heard Ace say.

'Did they pick up wild beasts around here? Poor animals.' Nami felt sad for the animals.

"But cap'n, do you have to give away both, can't you keep one atleast?" Jojo asked.

'Huh, it's not for us? Who will he gift the wild animals to?' Nami got confused.

"Nah I don't want to deal with these brats." Ace answered.

'Brats? Nani?!' Nami turned to corner hurriedly as she got worried that the two animals, were in fact kidnapped children.

Although her captain would probably not kidnap children... He did sometimes surprise her with his actions... So she wouldn't put it past him to do the unimaginable.

"Did he kidnap children and treat them like animals...?' Nami got slightly pale in worry.

"No no, Captain wouldnt do something like tha...." She whispered to herself, but she couldn't finish her words as she remembered how all the Demon Ace pirates had "joined" his crew.

"BASTARD HOW CAN YOU KIDNAP CHILDREN AND TREAT THEM LIKE ANIMALS!!" Nami angrily shouted as soon as she saw Jojo carrying two brats.

"Oh Nami, don't worry, they have potential!" Ace explained with a thumbs up.

"Ah, I see, they have potential, then it's okay to kidnap them." Nami sighed in relief.

"THAT'S NOT A REASON TO KIDNAP SOMEONE!!!" She shouted in anger as her teeth became spiky.

"But I'm not kidnapping them, I'm giving them away."

"That's called slavetrading." Nami worriedly said as she tried to reason with her captain, sadly, Ace wasn't known for his reason.

Inside the marine base, Urouge stood with a big grin on his lips. His left arm was limp as a big spear made of mechanical parts had penetrated his bicep.

"Haa haa... You're stronger than I thought." Kid admitted as he panted. He had a burst lip and a blue eye. He hadn't expected Urouge to be this strong.

Looking around, Kid realised that most of his crewmates had already lost.

"Not bad yourself, but sadly this is not enough to fight my captain." Urouge said as he walked up to Kid. Their fight had lasted long enough.

But before Urouge could even make a move, Kid fell to his knees in exhaustion. He had overexerted himself. He had had attacked Urouge with blunt force, and it took a long for him to realise that Urouge had an ability that turned blunt force into strength and speed.

By that point, Kid used his ability to turn all the metal in the vicinity into spears and swords, but by then, they had already fought too much.

He caught Urouge by surprise and almost impaled his chest, but Urouge reacted fast enough and only his left arm was penetrated.

Urouge felt that, if Kid had realised his ability earlier, this fight would have been much harder to predict. Kid had some frightening abilities.

As Urouge walked towards Kid, he halted.

He saw Kid turn his gaze all over the Demon Ace Pirates in pure bloodthirst.

"I will come for your heads again, and next time I'll be ready to take your heads." Kid said in a cold voice, he resembled a demon.

"Pfffttt you think you're scary?" Gaga laughed out.

"Haha little pony over there thinks he's some kind of devil, ne, Gaga, he never met our captain has he?" Yennow chuckled.

"Hey scarys stuff, wait until you meet our captain for real, then you'll understand what it means to be demonic!" Spikewards waved him off.

"Demonic? Are you trying to portray our captain in good light? He's way worse than demonic!" Law muttered.

Kid and his crew looked at eachother in confusion.

Usually, they were known to be cruel and vicious, but somehow, today they were looked at as some kids that didn't know what evil meant.

"..."

"Hey who is talking bad about me?" Suddenly a nice voice echoed out. If anyone heard this voice, they'd think that it belongs to a nice, young upright man.

Sadly the Demon Ace Pirates knew the character of the owner of that voice, and they all broke out in cold sweat.

"Haha captain, we were talking about how cool you are haha... Haha..." Gaga rubbed the back of her head in nervousness.

"Captain what's that? I better look into it!" Yennow said as he pointed at the sky and then flew off.

"Captain, don't worry, we're just explaining how you're worse than then the devil." Urouge said with thumbs up, not realising his own words, but by the time he finished, the demon Ace pirates were nowhere to be seen.

"Huh, where did everyone go?" Urouge asked, as he could only see the defeated Kid pirates and his captain walking towards him with a raised, black fist.
