Not in a Rush to Cultivate

Recently, Su Shen had been consumed with expanding his business, often working late into the night. By the time he returned home, Gu Zi was usually already asleep.

Out of respect, he wouldn't disturb her rest, only occasionally awakening her if his longing became too strong. But once, he'd been too rough, leaving her uncomfortable afterward. Since then, he preferred to restrain himself rather than interrupt her sleep.

Seeing her waiting for him tonight, he felt both happiness and concern—concerned she wasn't resting enough.

But Gu Zi, hearing his gentle scolding, thought he was the one who truly needed rest. In the countryside, he had always worked tirelessly, even taking night shifts and managing tasks alone, without ever appearing fatigued.

Now, even as he pushed to grow his business, he still insisted on doing everything himself, leaving precious little time for rest.
