"Huff, huff-"
After the prolonged battle with Takeshi, C had gained a profound understanding of Takeshi's strength. Exhausted, he couldn't help but pause his attack.
"How can this Uchiha Dragon be so formidable?!"
C panted heavily and muttered to himself.
The opponent's ninjutsu prowess was remarkable, swordsmanship razor-sharp, physical strikes formidable, devoid of clear weaknesses or flaws.
Most infuriating was the illusionary assaults; not only were they impossible to guard against, but they were also incredibly potent.
"Why does Uchiha have to produce such a monster? Are all those who awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan so challenging?"
C found himself torn between fear and frustration.
In reality, the diverse abilities Takeshi displayed were courtesy of the white-scale bloodline's blessings.
The Shikotsumyaku endowed him with tremendous strength in close combat, complemented by the Sharingan's capabilities.
Apart from the swordsmanship he honed and the potent ninjutsu fueled by his true essence, the blood furnace's stimulation elevated his combat prowess to kage-level heights within a ten-minute timeframe.
Of course, this enhanced power had a limited duration; otherwise, Takeshi might struggle to defeat C.
"Peculiar, he's undeniably powerful, yet it seems like he's deliberately holding back during our fight, leaving openings for me."
Observing Takeshi's indifferent stance in the wind, C suddenly contemplated a question.
From the beginning until now, it appeared as if he was constantly on the offensive.
Given the opponent's strength, why grant him breathing room? Was there deception involved?!
C's eyes flickered, as if he had unearthed a hidden truth!
The motive behind Takeshi's actions wasn't the wild flashing indicator light on his chest; it was to draw C into Tobirama's gaze without falling into the same trap himself.
It would be absurdly magnanimous for Tobirama to handle it on the spot.
However, such a tactic made C suspicious.
"No! Why did I nearly forget? This location isn't far from Tobirama's forces!"
C suddenly snapped back to reality, breaking into a cold sweat.
"If I engage him here, I'll undoubtedly attract Tobirama. Tobirama, who overcame Kazekage Shamon, is far beyond my current capabilities! A direct confrontation will likely end with me shattered in Tobirama's hands!"
Fearing the consequences of attracting Tobirama's attention, C glared at Takeshi with a newfound sense of hostility.
Could it be that this individual is truly aligned with Konoha? Were those earlier words just a ploy to frame me, with the real intention of joining forces with Konoha to eliminate me?
No! He must be attempting to use a double-edged strategy!
C's determination surged, chakra at the ready, preparing for a strategic retreat!
"If you've finally caught on, it seems you're not entirely foolish."
Takeshi noticed the expression on C's face and understood that he was on the verge of making a run for it. However, the audience had already taken their places!
"Hehe, I, Uchiha Dragon, have dedicated myself to training since leaving that decadent family and vowed to resurrect the Uchiha's power! Today, I will end you here to showcase the prestige of my Uchiha Dragon!"
"What?!"
Behind a large tree, a kunai made a "Duo" sound, and Tobirama silently appeared.
Yet, upon hearing the proclamation, his face underwent a drastic change.
"Nani??!!!!"
Tobirama felt like he had exhausted all his expressions for the year and that his brain was struggling to keep up!
What in the world is this Uchiha dragon? What does it mean to revive the Uchiha? Is it all about him?
After a barrage of questions, Tobirama decided to give it another listen, hoping to uncover any other astonishing secrets.
"Damn! You lunatic! If I can take down Kagami Uchiha, I'm not afraid of you?!"
C still hadn't noticed Tobirama's arrival. Though he was on the brink of escape, he couldn't afford to lose his momentum, could he?
"Huh? Who's there!"
As if he had suddenly "discovered" Tobirama eavesdropping, Takeshi turned his head with a swift motion. A pair of scarlet, evil Mangekyō Sharingan eyes locked onto Tobirama's gaze!
"What?! These eyes are—!!"
"Damn, I didn't expect it to come so soon; it seems today is the end of it."
Takeshi wasted no time; he immediately vanished from everyone's sight using a teleportation technique. His ghostly form activated in full force.
Blessed by natural forces, Takeshi almost seemed to fly, fleeing as fast as a meteor chasing the moon!
"Huh? Not good!"
C was stunned, and upon looking back, he also saw Tobirama, who appeared astonished.
Transformed into a flash of lightning through the Lightning Release Chakra Mode, C swiftly joined Takeshi, and in a matter of seconds, they both made their escape!
"Huh—!"
A gust of wind swept through, lifting a dead leaf. The scene was awkward for a moment.
Tobirama stood alone with a gloomy expression, his face as heavy as a mountain!
He didn't pursue either party. Even if he did, he probably wouldn't catch up, and there might be some cheating involved.
But his mouth kept muttering, "Those eyes, you can't be wrong, that's... Mangekyō Sharingan... Uchiha Dragon!!"
"Lord Tobirama, what's the situation?"
After a while, Danzo and the others rushed over, treating the situation as if they were facing a formidable enemy. However, the scene was vacant, with only Tobirama present.
"They discovered my presence, and they all fled. One was C from Kumogakure, and the other was..."
Tobirama glanced gloomily at Danzo and the others, but ultimately didn't say anything on the spot.
Observing Tobirama's preoccupied demeanor, Danzo refrained from asking questions but was swiftly thinking in his mind.
"Here! Uchiha Kagami-sama..."
Soon, an army of ninjas arrived one after another, and hundreds of them completely took control of the area.
The sight of the battleground, bearing the scars and severe damage from Takeshi and C's clash, left everyone in awe.
"The person who faced off against C is incredibly powerful. It seems he emerged victorious."
Tsunade and Jiraiya joined the onlookers. As they surveyed the scene, Takeshi's wood clone, sensing the inevitable conclusion, maintained a silent presence, minimizing its visibility.
The Wood Clone possessed vitality, functioning as a tangible entity. Tobirama remained oblivious to its presence, as did others.
As long as Wood Clone maintained a discreet demeanor without taking action, it could endure until Orochimaru's return.
"Hey, I never expected Master Uchiha Kagami to sacrifice himself."
Wood Clone had been closely monitoring Danzo and the others. Danzo had personally examined Uchiha Kagami's body earlier, and his expression revealed nothing.
Uchiha Kagami's demise was tragic. While internal injuries inflicted by C played a part, the repercussions of using forbidden substances were even more severe.
Uchiha Kagami's body appeared emaciated and bloodless, resembling a mummified corpse. Yet, his eyes remained strangely preserved.
Though Takeshi had swapped the genuine eyes with ordinary three-hooked jade, devoid of their pupil power, the superficial appearance remained intact. It was a clever ruse to divert any suspicion regarding excessive doping backlash.
Danzo undoubtedly coveted Uchiha Kagami's eyes, but obtaining them immediately proved challenging. Even if he detected something amiss with the eyes, there seemed to be little he could do.
