Chapter 85

Alex was busy writing his essays when he noticed the small vial beside him turn emerald green. He looked surprised but after sniffing the contents, he smiled and put the vial inside his pocket.

'She follows everything accurately and that's her main weakness. If this plan works, it might be detrimental in some ways but the pros do outweigh the cons. If it doesn't work… it doesn't matter, I guess. I have Neville who will be promoted to the queen on my board sooner or later.'

The essays and homework they were given were all extremely easy for Alex and completing them all took him minimal time. His free time was used to sleep mostly and that actually had a beneficial effect on him as he was able to stay focused and alert for extended periods of time and didn't have to go through the side effects of using potions and pills.

Alex was feeling a little anxious as he stared at the sunset from the large castle windows. Today was the day he was supposed to meet the time stopper guy and although he didn't feel like the guy had aims to harm him, he still felt a little uneasy.

He had been outsmarted and out-prepared by that person and not being able to know who it was had really messed his mind up. He tried to come up with meaningful guesses but no one fit the bill.

In the end, he simply gave up and prepared to meet the mysterious person who would most likely be his ally. For the first time, he gobbled up his dinner as fast as possible before heading over to his dormitory and making preparations.

A few minutes later, he left the room with his pocket full of shrunken objects. He stayed in the boys' lavatory, preparing for the night as he wore a pair of muggle clothes and then a robe on top of it before casting a few charms upon himself. After everything was done, he left the place and decided to wait at the astronomy tower early.

What he did not expect was to see Ginny walking silently in the corridor, completely alone. As he had nothing else to do, he followed her and saw that things were going according to his expectations when she entered the girls' lavatory on the second floor.

After seeing her go in, he continued on his way to the astronomy tower and waited silently as he stared at the pocket watch he bought on a whim in Knockturn Alley.

He had to wait for two whole hours to see movements near the entrance to the astronomy tower entrance, only to be disappointed when he saw Filch and his cat, Norris.

The two of them made a round and headed back, but Alex saw movements just a few minutes later. A thin and tall silhouette appeared and only when it got closer, did Alex recognize the person.

Percy stood silently and looked around while Alex observed him from the shadows. There was no sign of him trying to look dignified like the real Percy would and that was a huge change that anyone would notice.

'This guy… seems experienced and to be able to act like Percy all the time must be exhausting too. He doesn't look like he has come prepared but if he is able to manipulate time like before, I doubt he needs preparation.'

He waited for a few more minutes before going back down and taking off most of the charms that were on him. After everything was done, he walked out from the entrance as if he had just got there.

"Oh, there you are. Come on, sit down. Let's talk peacefully." Percy said and Alex nodded silently before conjuring a wooden stool and sitting down, waiting for Percy to do the same or at least something similar.

Percy smiled awkwardly, "I have problems doing magic so do you mind giving me one too, please?"

"…. Are you being serious?"

Percy nodded in response and Alex said nothing for a few seconds and then conjured another stool. Percy sat down happily and looked at Alex before putting his hand out to shake his hand to which he got no response.

"I'm here to propose a truce and a treaty to help each other get out of trouble."

Alex didn't hesitate to nod, "I accept your truce but I need more context on this trouble part."

Percy thought for a second before answering, "In short, you are being used by those beings who sent you here. I have the backing of a powerful being and was also sent here by him.

There was someone's soul which was in a similar condition to yours. I mean, it was in the merged state but unlike you, his was unstable and that was the best option for me. I invaded the body, fought for its control, and consumed the unstable merged soul. It'll be hard to explain in detail and it also isn't of much use to you in this world.

I will provide you with information about those beings and how to escape their clutches. In return, I want you to tell me about this world and answer all of my questions to the best of your abilities. You can ask me questions and I'll do the same. Do you agree?"

Alex thought for a while and recalled all of his interactions with the angel. Nothing seemed to be wrong but he couldn't come to a conclusion as he knew almost nothing about them. In the end, he accepted.

"I agree but I want to do this blood pact thing just in case you cheat and before we do that, explain how it actually works."

"It's just a contract made through the contact of two people's blood. Many of the worlds to which I traveled, used it. I don't know its specifics but it works in all worlds as it's a universal method but it is also the weakest of them all. I'll explain in detail later so let's do this pact first."
