"There's not much you can do," Nick Fury said. "But you, you only have a Winter Soldier, and even he can only be controlled through the most brutal methods. He's not your companion."

"Heh heh, Nick, I didn't misjudge you. Your abilities are indeed outstanding," Alexander Pierce remarked.

"But I misjudged you," Nick Fury pulled out a gun, attached a silencer, and fired two shots into Alexander Pierce's chest.

With the death of Alexander Pierce, Hydra officially disappeared into the annals of history.

As for S.H.I.E.L.D., it wasn't surprising that it suffered heavy losses, with over a third of its personnel eliminated.

Many of the core positions were almost wiped out.

This version of S.H.I.E.L.D. was now practically useless, lacking the manpower to even maintain basic operations.

"Sir, it seems like this report of yours won't be an easy one to write," Phil Coulson remarked.

Bear in mind that while S.H.I.E.L.D. holds considerable power, it's not a matter of doing as one pleases. There are higher-ups overseeing things, but Nick Fury didn't even inform them about this "Decapitating the Snake" operation. The World Security Council remained in the dark.

"This is something that couldn't have been reported in advance; it had to be done in secret," Tony Stark said. "Even if it were reported earlier, let's not even discuss whether those people would believe it or not. Even if they did believe it, it would take at least half a year of meetings and discussions. By then, Hydra would have gotten wind of it."

"I've done what needed to be done. What can the major powers do about it?" Nick Fury sneered, completely unconcerned. "Fire me? I couldn't care less."

"Having spilled so much 'friendly' blood this time, if you can't convince them, it won't be as simple as just getting fired," Steve Rogers said.

"Big deal, they'll just issue a warrant for my arrest," Nick Fury shrugged. "The Avengers have all gone into hiding; even if I become a fugitive, what of it?"

"Don't worry, Fury. We've prepared ample evidence," Natasha Romanoff reassured him. "If those major powers come to their senses."

"Evidence?" Bruce Banner shook his head. "Do you think those people above really care about the truth? All they want is an obedient lackey, someone who can get things done for them. Fury's actions in wiping out Hydra, though a public service, also revealed his 'disobedient' side. Those people might not be so quick to let him off the hook."

"In fact, this is quite simple. Thor is still around, isn't he? Just send Thor to handle this," Tony Stark suggested.

"You want me to use my hammer on them?" Thor's eyes gleamed with excitement. "I've never played the role of the villain before."

"Use your hammer?!" Tony Stark exclaimed. "I mean, use your words! Talk to those bureaucrats who sit in their offices all day giving orders."

"Huh?" Thor looked puzzled. "You want me to persuade them? I'm not very good at that."

"Just tell them that Asgard is interested in developing diplomatic relations with the five major powers, but you only recognize Nick Fury," Tony Stark said.

"Tony, you really are something," even Steve Rogers couldn't help but laugh. "I can guarantee Odin never intended that, Earth is one of his realms. Have you ever seen the United States engage in diplomatic relations with one of its own states?"

"But do those bags of wind up there know that?" Tony Stark retorted.

"Tony, that's actually a good idea," Nick Fury pondered. "With the guise of developing diplomatic relations with the realm of the gods, we can easily rebuild S.H.I.E.L.D. The important thing is, with this pretense, I can negotiate for even more."

Nick Fury was a man of action; he and Thor immediately set off to visit the five major powers.

Meanwhile, Steve Rogers and Wanda Maximoff approached Bucky Barnes.

"Wanda, I'm counting on you," Steve Rogers earnestly said to Wanda Maximoff.

"Don't worry, Captain," Wanda Maximoff replied. Scarlet energy appeared in her hand as she pointed it at Bucky Barnes' head.

Bucky Barnes immediately opened his eyes.

He first looked at himself, then at the surroundings, and finally his gaze fell on Steve Rogers.

"Steve?" Bucky Barnes was somewhat incredulous. "Is this a dream?"

Bucky Barnes shouldn't have recognized Steve Rogers, but when Wanda Maximoff awakened him just now, she also awakened his memories of Steve Rogers.

"Bucky, it's me, the real me." Steve Rogers was almost in tears of joy. "I finally see you."

"Steve, what happened exactly?" Bucky Barnes asked. "Where is this?"

"Bucky, you've missed so much..." Steve Rogers immediately began to talk with Bucky Barnes, recounting everything from his pursuit of Red Skull, the freezing in ice, to Tony Stark revealing his Iron Man identity and ushering in the era of "Age of Ultron."

"Asgard, gods?"

"Alien invasion of Earth?"

"Thanos wiping out half the universe?"

"A sorcerer forcing the Dark Dimension's ruler into a time loop?"

Each of these events left Bucky Barnes speechless.

"Is this world still the one I knew?" Bucky Barnes couldn't help but sigh.

"I often ask myself the same question," Steve Rogers said. "I sometimes even miss the time when I was the biggest oddity."

"The weirdest thing is this answering space," Bucky Barnes said. "How can something like this exist?"

...

In the Spider-Man world.

Peter Parker looked at the image in his hand with a spider pattern and felt a surreal sensation.

"Parallel universe? I just went to another universe, and besides me, there are other Spider-Men?" Peter Parker flipped the card back and forth.

"Max Dillon, I must find him immediately!" Peter Parker put the card away. "Before he becomes Electro, I need to stop him!"

But at that moment, he heard the piercing sound of sirens.

"Don't tell me Max has already become Electro?" Peter Parker had an ominous feeling and quickly changed into his suit before leaping out of the window.

Using his webbing, he swung to the location where the sirens were coming from. As he arrived, he saw someone suspended in mid-air—a person entirely clad in blue, looking exactly like the Electro in the video.

"Too late! He's already become Electro!" Peter Parker felt a pang of regret. He was a step behind.

"Stop! Please stop! I didn't mean to do this! It's not my fault!" Maxwell Dillon stood in the middle of the intersection, looking lost and helpless.

"He's just gained his powers; he hasn't thought of committing crimes yet." Seeing Maxwell Dillon's appearance, Peter Parker breathed a slight sigh of relief.

As long as he hadn't committed any evil deeds yet, there was still a chance to turn things around.

"Hey, Max!" Peter Parker descended from the sky, landing in front of Maxwell Dillon. "Don't be nervous, I'm here to help you."

"Spider-Man?" Maxwell Dillon was touched that Spider-Man remembered him. "We only met once, and you still remember me?"

"Of course, I remember you. Like I said, I need you." Peter Parker stepped closer to Maxwell Dillon. "But you've changed a lot. I almost didn't recognize you."

"Spider-Man, I... I don't know, I've become like this..." Maxwell Dillon looked at himself, feeling anxious.

"I understand, I really get how you feel right now." Peter Parker said. "When I was first bitten by that spider, and I discovered my incredible strength, the ability to cling to walls, I was scared too."

"Even Spider-Man gets scared?" Maxwell Dillon looked at Peter Parker, feeling an incredible closeness to him.

He had always admired Spider-Man, and now, at his most helpless and confused, Spider-Man descended from the sky to tell him that they had shared similar experiences.

"Having a unique ability might not be a bad thing if we can use these powers to help others." Peter Parker said. "Max, you're special, very special. You could become another Spider-Man. Let's protect this city together. No, calling your abilities Spider-Man might not be fitting; how about 'Electro-Man'?"

Peter Parker was afraid that Maxwell Dillon would turn into a super-villain. He was busy instilling the ideals of a superhero in him.

"Electro-Man?" Maxwell Dillon grinned. "Sounds cool."

"Welcome, Electro-Man. From now on, we're partners." Peter Parker extended his hand to Maxwell Dillon. "Let's protect this city together."

"I might shock you," Maxwell Dillon was excited. He wanted to reach out and shake Peter Parker's hand, but he quickly remembered that he was charged with electricity all over his body, so he hastily pulled his hand back.

"After some training and practice, you'll become adept at controlling it," Peter Parker told Maxwell Dillon. "But maybe we should leave here first; we've caused a traffic jam."

"Ah, sure, let's leave." Maxwell Dillon followed Peter Parker and departed.

At that moment, the supervillain "Electro" disappeared, and in his place, another superhero, "Electro-Man," was about to be born.

Once Maxwell Dillon was settled, Peter Parker immediately went to the Osborne residence.

"I don't want to die, I don't want to die!" Harry Osborn sat there, looking utterly dejected.

Knock, knock, knock!

Suddenly, a knocking sound echoed through the room.

Harry Osborn walked over and opened the door, only to see Peter Parker standing there.

"Peter, coming over so late, is there something wrong?" Harry Osborn asked.

"I need to confess something to you. I'm sorry I haven't told you for so long, and I hope you understand that I never meant to deceive you." Peter Parker said.

"Peter, what are you talking about?" Harry Osborn asked. "What did you deceive me about?"

"In fact, I am Spider-Man." Peter Parker said.

"Ha...hahaha!" Harry Osborn burst into laughter. "Peter, you came all the way here at this hour just to make me laugh? Thank you so much, my mood wasn't great to begin with."

Peter Parker shrugged and suddenly jumped up, landing on the ceiling with only his two legs, "standing" upside down on the ceiling.

"Harry, I really am Spider-Man." Peter Parker said, hanging upside down and addressing Harry Osborn.

"Shit!" This time, Harry Osborn completely believed. He was excited beyond measure, "Spider-Man is Peter Parker, Spider-Man is my best friend!"

"Harry, I know you think my blood could save you, but I have to tell you, my blood can't cure you. It would only make you die faster." Peter Parker said.

...

In the old Spider-Man world.

"Spider-Man, don't think that saving others makes you a good person," Harry Osborn watched the news about Spider-Man on TV and was reminded of Spider-Man killing his father.

"Harry, I never told you because I didn't know how to say it, but I feel like I have to tell you now." Suddenly, a voice sounded from behind.

"Who?" Harry Osborn jumped in surprise, turned around, and saw Spider-Man standing behind him.

"Hey, Harry." Peter Parker said.

"What are you here for?" Harry Osborn said coldly, "To kill me too?"

"Harry, I'm here to confess everything to you." Peter Parker removed his mask.

"Peter?" Harry Osborn took two large steps back in shock, plopping down on the couch. "How could it be you? How could it be you!"

"Harry, I never killed your father." Peter Parker said, "I won the fight, but I never intended to kill him. He died because of his glider; he killed himself."

"No, Peter, you're lying. It was you who killed my father!" Harry Osborn said.

"If I may interject, sir." At this moment, a well-dressed butler approached, "I've witnessed many events in this room, but I've never spoken up."

"What do you want to tell me?" Harry Osborn asked the old butler.

"The night your father died, I tended to his wounds. The blade that went through his body came from his glider." The old butler said, "I know you've been trying to defend your father's honor, but undoubtedly, he died by his own hand."

"I've resented Spider-Man for so long, and it turns out he didn't kill my father?" Harry Osborn was stunned.

After leaving Harry Osborn, Peter Parker rushed to Otto Octavius's place.

"You need a good night's sleep."

"Did Edison sleep before inventing the light bulb? Did Marconi sleep before inventing the radio? Did Beethoven sleep before composing the Fifth Symphony?"

"Love to sleep or not, it's your call."

When Peter Parker arrived, Otto Octavius was burning the midnight oil, engrossed in his research, ignoring even his wife's pleas for him to sleep.

"Doctor, hello." Peter Parker spoke up once his wife had left.

"Spider-Man?" Otto Octavius turned his head, seeing that it was indeed Spider-Man speaking to him. He calmly asked, "Are you thirsty? Would you like a glass of water?"

"Doctor, I'd like to talk to you about your experiment. It's very important." Peter Parker said.

"Spider-Man wants to discuss science with me?" Otto Octavius was surprised that the renowned Spider-Man would come to him for this.

"Doctor, if I may be forward, are you planning to create a set of artificially intelligent mechanical arms to assist you with your experiment?" Peter Parker said.

"How did you know?" Otto Octavius asked, astonished, "I just finished designing the blueprints for those arms; they haven't even been manufactured yet."

"I know because someone stole your mechanical arm blueprints, intending to use them for criminal activities." Peter Parker lied, fabricating a story about how he had seen Otto Octavius almost destroy New York in another world, something even the brilliant scientist might not accept.

"What? The arm blueprints were stolen?" Otto Octavius was taken aback and quickly rifled through a drawer, "But they're right here."

"He certainly wouldn't take the originals; that would be too noticeable. He likely took photos and printed them out later, I guess." Peter Parker continued.

"These mechanical arms have advanced artificial intelligence. If they fall into the wrong hands for criminal purposes, it could be quite disastrous." Otto Octavius glanced at Peter Parker, "But don't you exist? Can't Spider-Man handle an 'Octopus Man'?"

"I'm concerned he might mass-produce them." Peter Parker had to keep fabricating, "So, Doctor, I hope you could create something to disable the mechanical arms. Of course, without causing harm to anyone."

"Alright, before I start my experiment, I'll create something to disable the mechanical arms." Otto Octavius nodded in agreement.

Peter Parker left.

However, that night, he secretly returned and installed surveillance cameras in Otto Octavius's place and placed listening and tracking devices on Otto Octavius himself. This way, if anything unusual happened, he could respond promptly.

He didn't tell Otto Octavius to stop the experiment, not a word about it.

From the video, it was evident that the experiment was Otto Octavius's dream. He had no right to abruptly demand him to stop without any evidence, right?

...

For this mission to eliminate Hydra, nearly all the superheroes were mobilized.

However, Stephen Strange wasn't among them because he was still just a doctor.

But that didn't mean he couldn't participate.

Well, his form of participation was chatting, nothing more.

"Is Hydra really completely eradicated this time? They won't appear again?" Stephen Strange drove a luxury car on a mountain road while talking on the phone and overtaking other vehicles.

"This time it's absolutely eradicated. There won't be any more serpent heads emerging. " Phil Coulson said.

"Are you sure?" Stephen Strange asked, "Haven't you been 'sure' many times before?"

"We didn't have Wanda before. This time, everything they had hidden in their minds has been dug out. Not a single one can escape." Phil Coulson said.

"It's a pity I couldn't join you this time." Stephen Strange said.

"Just Hydra, a bunch of clowns. There's nothing to regret." Phil Coulson said, "For someone like you, the real adversaries are those like Thanos. They're the ones worthy of being your opponents."

"Coulson, you're embarrassing me. I'm just a doctor now." Stephen Strange said.

"But you won't be a doctor forever." Phil Coulson asked, "You..."

Before Phil Coulson could finish his sentence, a goat suddenly rushed out in front of Stephen Strange's car. He had no idea why a goat would appear here. In order to avoid it, he almost instinctively turned the steering wheel in the opposite direction.

And then...

Boom!

The luxury car flipped into the air.

"It's okay, everything will be alright." When he opened his eyes again, Christine was leaning over the bed, looking at him with concern.

"What have they done to me?" Stephen Strange saw his hands covered in steel plates and numerous black stitches.

"They brought you in by helicopter; it took a long time to locate you." Christine said, "But you've missed the golden window for treating nerve damage."

"What have they done to me?" Stephen Strange asked again.

"Eleven stainless steel pins were inserted into your bones, multiple ligaments torn, severe nerve damage to both hands. The surgery lasted a full eleven hours." Christine explained.

"Is this the only time?" Stephen Strange gazed at his hands, surprisingly calm. He murmured, "I sought out the Ancient One in the first place because of injuries to my hands. Is this the only time?"

"What do you mean, this time?" Christine couldn't quite understand, "Stephen, what are you talking about?"

"Can medicine not restore my hands?" Stephen Strange asked.

"Stephen, don't be sad. You're so talented. Even if you don't practice medicine, you'll succeed in any other field." Christine said.

"So, this is the time. Because medicine can't heal me, that's why I sought out the sorcerer." Stephen Strange said.

"A sorcerer?" Christine thought Stephen Strange might be getting carried away by his sadness.

"I need to find Pangborn." Stephen Strange continued.

"Is he a doctor too?" Christine asked, "Why have I never heard of him?"

"In fact, I can be considered a doctor too. I can heal people's hearts." A voice came, and Nick Fury, dressed in a black trench coat, walked over.
