Ethan Smith didn't feel like explaining to Virgil any further.
On the side, Ava also whispered: "Both places are full of danger. It's better if we stick together and support each other."
Virgil sneered: "Support? What can he do for us? Miss Ava, do you think I need his help?"
Ethan Smith gave him a glance and scoffed: "Fine, don't worry. I guarantee I won't be helping you."
"Heh, I don't need it. Just don't beg me to save you later," Virgil snorted.
Ethan Smith didn't bother arguing with him any further, as it didn't have any point.
The next day.
When Ethan Smith went out, Virgil and Ava were already waiting at the door early.
"You're really slow, even slower than hot shit," Virgil mocked.
Ethan Smith ignored him and looked at Ava, saying, "Are you both ready?"
Ava nodded slightly and said, "I brought a magical artifact from home, but given my current status in the family, I couldn't bring anything top-notch."
