Armored Chaos

Received news from the air force base, Justin Hammer packed the weapons manufactured by his company into boxes and drove towards the base. One hour later, Hammer took out the weapons one by one and started boasting about them.

Seeing Rhodey's expressionless face, Hammer felt a bit challenged. From handguns to Gatling guns, he didn't see any change in Rhodey's demeanour. After a second of contemplation, Hammer took out a box and said softly, "This is a Sidewinder missile, powerful enough to destroy a fortress."

Rhodey reached out and took a glance at the missile before handing it to the colonel next to him. Hammer smiled and said in a low voice, "I named it 'Ex-wife'."

"Great, I'll take them all!" Rhodey nodded, his gaze fixed on the Gatling gun and the Sidewinder missile. Hammer breathed a sigh of relief. Although the missile was only one in appearance, the other weapons were genuine and top-quality. He didn't think Rhodey would have the occasion to use the missile.

After the discussion, Hammer immediately returned to the base in Queens and handed over the birdcage he had in his hand, saying somewhat boastfully, "Hey, buddy, come and see your little bird. I had to pull some strings to get it back!"

Ivan walked up and looked at it coldly, saying, "This isn't my bird!"

Hammer took a deep breath, and his smile gradually faded. He said in an unfriendly tone, "Don't be so stubborn. You have to learn to let go!"

Ivan's untrustworthy attitude made Hammer unhappy. The slight sense of guilt in his heart disappeared instantly. Hammer looked at the robot in the distance in disbelief and shouted, "Buddy, what I wanted was a steel mech! Do you know what a mech is? Can a person sit inside this thing of yours?"

Ivan smirked and said disdainfully, "Trust me, remotely controlled steel soldiers are better."

"The government wants steel mechs like Iron Man. Do you understand? That's what will make them happy!" Hammer ran his hand through his hair in frustration and shouted angrily. Ivan Vanko clenched his toothpick and said mockingly, "You'd better hope they like your robot!"

Three days later, Hammer stood on the stage and said in a deep voice, "Ladies and gentlemen, today I will introduce to you the military's new face! Hammer's Steel Soldiers!"

As he finished speaking, dozens of steel robots slowly ascended to the stage, representing the army, navy, and air force. Rhodey, wearing the steel armour, shone as he made a dazzling appearance amidst applause. Meanwhile, Tony Stark, who was studying the new armour in his mansion, received a call from Ivan Vanko.

"I've doubled the speed. It's a great suggestion. I will repay what your father did to us forty years ago in forty minutes!"

Stark searched for recent events that had happened in the past hour and finally fixed his gaze on Hammer Industries' exhibition. Thinking of Potts and a group of military bigwigs inside, Stark's heart sank, and he immediately donned his armour and flew to the exhibition.

Seeing Stark descend from the sky, the crowd erupted in cheers. Hammer's smile on his face became somewhat stiff, but in front of thousands of people, he couldn't lose his temper. He had to pretend as if the two of them were familiar.

Ivan, remotely controlling the robots, saw Stark entering the venue and smirked. He frantically tapped the keyboard, while Rhodey, standing opposite Stark, exclaimed, "I'm locked down! Tony, run! The entire system is under control!"

Stark leaped into the air and said coldly, "Let's take this outside!"

After speaking, he flew into the sky, and immediately the robots transformed and began firing into the sky. Under Ivan's control, Rhodey ascended into the air, while the Gatling gun on his back fired wildly. The crowd inside the venue instantly fell into chaos.

Happy quickly left the exhibition with Potts. Tony, who received the news, felt relieved. He circled within the city with his robots, taking advantage of the brief pause in robot control to eliminate the robots behind him one by one until only Rhodey remained.

Stark couldn't bring himself to harm his old friend, so he took him to a nearby park. The events at the expo immediately caught the attention of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Nick Fury instructed Natasha to lead a team to apprehend the individuals at Hammer Industries.

Ten minutes later, the team arrived at Hammer Industries. Seeing the special forces team armed with submachine guns, the security guards inside the Hammer building wisely dropped their batons and huddled on the ground, covering their heads with their hands.

Ivan, who saw this scene through surveillance, sneered and left the control room. He went to the underground factory and put on the hidden armor, then flew out of the Hammer building toward Stark's location.

Natasha quickly entered the control room and unlocked Rhodey's armor. Looking at the motionless armor, Stark lightly tapped on the faceplate and said in a low voice, "Rhodey... wake up, I need your help!"

As the system rebooted, Rhodey regained control of the armor. He opened the faceplate and looked at Stark in front of him with some regret for allowing Hammer Industries to modify the armor.

"There are two squads of robots flying towards you!" Natasha stared at the screen and said in a deep voice. As soon as she finished speaking, dozens of robots landed heavily around them. After a fierce battle, Tony shouted loudly, "Get down!"

The Iron Man armor shot out two red lasers from its hands and spun around, severing the robots around them at the waist. Rhodey swallowed his saliva and said helplessly, "Buddy, you should have used that move earlier!"

"It's a one-time use!" Stark pressed a few buttons on his arm, and two pieces of metal slowly fell to the ground. Suddenly, a sonic boom sounded in the distance.

A silver and white armor landed across from them, its hands raised with two electric whips. The faceplate opened, revealing Ivan's slightly weathered face. Rhodey took a step forward and said in a low voice, "I want to use a special weapon to take him down. Let me use the Ex-wife to blow him up!"

"With what?" Stark looked at Rhodey in surprise. He hadn't expected him to have a Ex-wife, with his prominent eyebrows and eyes. While Stark was searching for Rhodey's Ex-wife, a launcher appeared on his left shoulder. Stark twitched his mouth and realized it was the name of a missile. Disappointed after anticipating it for so long, the Rattlesnake missile, engulfed in orange flames, flew toward Ivan, hitting his chest heavily before falling into a nearby stream, splashing around for a moment and then going quiet.

Stark leaned closer to Rhodey and whispered, "Hammer's weapon?"

"Yes..." Rhodey now wanted to dig a bomb shelter with his toes. The moment he realized he had used this thing as an ace, he wanted to twist Hammer's head off. He swore that he would never use Hammer Industries' weapons again, even if he was a dog!

"Let me handle this!" Stark took a step forward, revealing two rows of launchers on his shoulders. Dozens of miniature missiles quickly flew towards Ivan's head,

sparking on the faceplate. Ivan inwardly sighed at his quick reflexes.
