LANA

Since entering the ancient room for the first time, I was coned to the game that an official of the palace was playing.

I had been the albatross around their neck all of these years, and they had nothing but a mountain of complaints about me and my incessant defiance, but this Rickie of a guy just got his way, and I guess he has to think of himself as a hero.

The first palace dick to use his power to coerce me into submission. If he sees himself as a hero, then he is one in every sense of the word.

He led the way, and I followed him obediently, knowing he would take me somewhere important.

Even though I had been there a thousand times before, for some reason I insisted on making it difficult for him to take me there in the first place. 

It could not have been anywhere else besides the office of alpha Cedric.
