Xenovia paused for a moment, one last question lingering in her mind before her departure. "Before I go... will you be attending school in the next few days?" she inquired, curiosity evident in her voice.

Issei shook his head in response. "No," he replied bluntly, signaling his absence from school.

Sighing softly, Xenovia commented, "Well, I suppose we won't be attending either. We'll lay low, so you won't have to come to our rescue once again."

Without further ado, Xenovia took her leave, and the portal closed behind her. Ingvild, uncertain of her role in the situation, cautiously approached Issei and tapped his shoulder, seeking clarification.

Issei glanced at her and issued a directive. "We'll have a private conversation. Go wait by my bike," he instructed, his tone leaving no room for questioning.

Ingvild promptly complied, obediently making her way towards Issei's bike. Issei then turned his attention back to the fallen angels, indicating that they could now speak freely.

Raynare was quick to apologize, expressing regret for their earlier bossy behavior. "I'm truly sorry for our rudeness, Issei... We didn't mean to overstep our bounds," she apologized sincerely.

Ignoring her apology for the time being, Issei posed a different query. "Why did Azazel leave Kuoh? I meant to ask you that earlier," he inquired, curiosity piqued.

Kalawarner chimed in, providing a swift response. "Lord Azazel was summoned to a meeting regarding your actions in the Underworld. Some of the other fallen angel leaders are apprehensive about your potential threat, but he wanted to convince them that you are not an enemy to our kind."

Issei's next question was direct and to the point. "Is there a reason why both of you can't simply go and stay in the Underworld with your fellow fallen angels?" he asked, his tone laced with curiosity.

A frown crossed Raynare's face as she explained, "Honestly, we are unable to do so... Azazel-sama ordered us to remain in Kuoh and oversee Kokabiel."

Issei couldn't help but interject with a touch of sarcasm, "Well, you've certainly done a splendid job at that, haven't you?"

Concern etched in her expression, Raynare reached out to Issei, her voice filled with genuine worry. "Issei, are you alright? You seem incredibly tense right now..." she inquired, genuinely concerned for his well-being.

Kalawarner nodded in agreement, her curiosity piqued. "Yes, what were they discussing? What did the devil girl say? It feels like there's more to this than just dealing with Kokabiel. It's unlike you to be so worked up. What's going on?"

Issei's voice carried a mix of frustration and determination as he responded, "Are you worried that the devils are coming after me? I don't need your damn protection... it's you girls who require protection! I don't want any of you involved in this. I'll handle Kokabiel alone... end of story."

Kalawarner sought further clarification. "So, does that mean we are allowed to stay then?" she inquired, hoping for a definitive answer.

Before Issei could respond, three individuals approached the edge of his property. Recognizing them as fallen angels, Issei instructed the dragon to lower the barrier around the house, permitting their entry. Ingvild instinctively hid herself, seeking refuge from their presence.

Raynare and Kalawarner turned around, their attention drawn to the arrival of Mittelt and Dohnaseek. However, what surprised everyone was the third individual accompanying them—a woman unmistakably identified as a fallen angel.

"Penemue-sama?! What are you doing here?" Kalawarner exclaimed, her disbelief evident in her voice.

The fallen angel woman explained her presence at Issei's base, stating, "I arrived here after receiving word of Kokabiel's appearance. Azazel-sama asked me to keep an eye on you all in case he tried something. Dohnaseek and Mittelt informed me that you sought refuge with the dragon."

Issei couldn't help but express his disappointment, shaking his head in disbelief. "You people are terrible at your jobs, you know that?!" he exclaimed, his frustration evident in his voice.

His remark caught them all off guard, and even Penemue seemed perplexed by his hostility. Issei took a moment to study her closely as they approached. She possessed long, purple hair and a similar pinkish-purple eye color to Raynare. Standing at about the same height as Kalawarner, she exhibited a taste in clothing that aligned with theirs. Currently donning a black and purple mini dress that revealed an excessive amount of cleavage, she also wore black armored gauntlets and greaves. Her pale complexion and intense expression added to her overall presence.

'Penemue... I recall Azazel mentioning her,' Issei thought to himself.

'Yes, she's likely one of the fallen angel leaders,' Ddraig chimed in.

Addressing her directly, Issei wasted no time in questioning, "So, you're Penemue?"

She nodded in confirmation. "Yes, I am Penemue, the Chief Secretary of the fallen angels," she replied.

To further validate her claim, Penemue unfurled 10 wings, making it clear that she held a prominent position among the fallen angels.

Issei regarded her with a lackluster expression as he crossed his arms. "Good... then you can watch over them," he stated, dismissing the fallen angels under Penemue's care.

Raynare frowned at Issei's dismissal, unsure of how to respond to his coldness.

Curiosity shining in her eyes, Penemue tilted her head slightly. "Oh? That's actually the reason I'm here, quite surprisingly. Azazel doesn't want any of our people involved when you confront Kokabiel. It would only further agitate the devils and angels."

"I had no idea you were still in Kuoh, Penemue-sama," Kalawarner interjected, voicing her surprise.

Penemue confirmed, "Yes, I've been keeping a low profile for some time now. I was prepared to intervene if Kokabiel appeared, but he left before anything happened. Come, girls... we'll head to my backup base. Kokabiel remains unaware of its existence or my presence, so it should be safe."

"As you wish, ma'am," Raynare complied, moving toward the Chief Secretary. Kalawarner followed suit, making her way over to join them.
