Coffee break

When Sam finished speaking, the room was divided into those who thought his actions were more than justified and those who deemed his crimes against humanity unforgivable sins that merited some sort of punishment. Both sides began voicing their opinions and then discussing among themselves, but it soon turned into an argument with no clear winner.

Those who backed Sam thought that, no matter what he did, if the results were positive then it was all worth it. It may have seemed like the right side, considering that the lives of millions were at stake, but the other side pointed how it came from a place of selfishness disguised as altruism. After all, they didn't care who made the sacrifice as long as it wasn't them.

Those kind of discussions held no interest to Uriel and now that he wasn't accused of any crime he was free to leave the room. Once outside, he soon fell deep into his accustomed pensiveness, until a soft tug on his sleeve snapped him out of it.
