Chapter 283 – Robin’s frustration.

Devin immediately recognized the woman, but he was taken aback by how quickly she had arrived. 

"Laura. How did you get here so fast?" he asked, surprised.

"Sabrina was running late, so I wanted to check on her. I was on my way when she called and forgot to hang up her phone," Laura explained.

Robin, hearing the familiar voice on the other end of the line, interrupted, 

"Is that Laura...?"

"Yes, Sabrina's secretary," Devin replied seriously, not wanting to waste time by mentioning Laura's full name.

Upon hearing that Laura had reached Devin, an idea struck Robin. 

"Let me speak to her," he requested.

Devin handed the phone to Laura, who greeted Robin with a respectful "Sir."

"Laura, why are you late?" Robin reprimanded, certain that if she had arrived on time, Martin's plan would not have succeeded.
