Chapter 20 – Sabrina’s resolve

Sabrina shook her head and smiled bitterly. When she was at the crossroads with Robin since she could not endure sharing her home with another woman, Devin was the only light in her dark tunnel. Unfortunately, he was making her regret counting on him for help.

"Truthfully Devin, I'm disappointed in you. After all, I have been through, do you think I would even consider having another man in my life? My wounds are still deep and my pain is fresh. Now you are telling me this."

Devin was overwhelmed by how everything turned out. This was not the way he wanted it to be. To him, his sister needed someone to treat her like the woman she was but he also forgot that it was too early to make such suggestions. Regret was the only thing in his heart. He leaned his head against the headrest with his eyes closed in deep thought. When he opened them, they were red, as if he was holding tears from falling.
