Annalise and Rafael rode to where they had gathered for her father to speak about their demands for a truce. They made their way there without anyone stopping them to ask about Rafael's presence or following them. Annalise kept looking back to make sure they were not followed specifically by her father.
They only came across the men and women patrolling the area to make sure the guards were not sneaky to try coming on their land. Both sides still lacked trust so their guards were up and ready for a surprise attack.
Rafael was the first one to slow down his horse since he thought Annalise had taken him far enough. The sun was setting and though she was more familiar with the land than he was, he wanted to send her off here.
"This is far enough," Rafael said, turning to face her.
