Tides of Departure 

The sun was beginning its descent when they finally finished their preparations. Li Xue stood at the edge of the castle, her eyes scanning over the assembled force. Her heart pounded with anticipation and apprehension, the weight of the upcoming journey weighing heavy on her shoulders. 

Just before their departure, Princess Aanya approached her, a determined glint in her eyes. "We're ready, Li Xue. The warriors are prepared, and the path is clear," she announced, her voice firm. 

Li Xue nodded, turning her gaze towards Aanya. "Thank you, Aanya. For everything."

Aanya gave her a warm smile, her eyes twinkling with camaraderie. "We're in this together, Li Xue. We always have been."

Despite the situation, Li Xue felt her lips curve into a small smile. She extended her hand, clasping Aanya's firmly. The gesture was a silent promise of their shared responsibility, their mutual commitment to their kingdoms.
