While he didn't have jurisdiction over the fortifications, he assured the rebel commanders that a simple threat of force should suffice in showing who really held authority in Nexus. He agreed to carry out the negotiation for the eastern wall, but for the northern wall, he suggested Sigmund to appoint someone of noble birth to take the role of a negotiator.
