Half a day away from Oakwood at the edge of the Forest of Nullus, the Solusians set up camp waiting for the chief's arrival. Meanwhile, the general himself went inside the forest, accompanied by his loyal men. In his hand he held a sketch of the location where the bodies of Gordon and his men were disposed of. He acquired the rudimentary map from the clerk after they made copies of it from Rico's sand drawing.

Several groups of men joined him, equipped with the copies of the map, taking different paths to hasten the search. Even if the map was perfectly drawn, who could have ascertain of its reliability? Thus, Ricardo chose to split the search party into several groups looking separately. With the warriors armed to the teeth with their new weapons, they had nothing to fear.
