It didn't make sense, Theo and Zach allied with Renold and collectively combined their forces to launch an attack on my pack, that was the most straightforward and logical assessment of the situation.

"What do you mean? What would they stand to gain by doing that? It would make much more sense to attack me and make my pack a slave pack." Hell, I remember Zach offer me something of the sort.

Kian strutted over to me, "I'm not saying that I'm a hundred percent certain. But, if it was really an attack, I feel that a person like Zach would want someone he trusts to fight by him, watching his back. Yet, for some reason he didn't take his beta with him, doesn't that sound off?"

Oliver and I exchanged quick glances, acknowledging that Kian did have a point, Zach trusted Daniel to a fault, it didn't make sense that he would start a war without him.

Kian turned to Daniel and implored, "And Daphne, what's her condition like now?"
