As Ash was walking, the pace of her footsteps began to increase a little more.

The direction that she was moving toward began to change too.

Since the recent threat to her safety, Ash had been far more on edge and guarded than ever before.

Even the smallest outing had her constantly looking toward those she passed by as being a potential threat.

She did not want to feel that way but her experiences had made her like that.

The previous threat was just another reminder that anything could happen at any time.

If she dropped her guard for a moment, everything she was working toward could be ruined by the actions of a random person who had malicious intentions toward her.

Even the simplest outing like making a trip to the gym that was a part of her routine needed to be paid some attention to.
