A Treasure Map

Just then, the guy with pointed chin, nose, and sharp eyes stepped out of the TV station looking pretty downcast. He climbed into a car parked on the side of the road where Madelyn, with her arm in a cast, was sitting.

His name was Victor, Madelyn's old schoolmate and Sauron's kid.

Sauron and Bella got to know each other when their daughters were in high school, meeting up at school events for parents. It was a case of love at first sight. They quickly became partners in crime, until Sauron landed in jail.

Victor looked really upset as he talked to Madelyn, "Maddie, Alicia's too slick. I asked her the two questions we agreed on, and she just brushed them off. It's so frustrating."

Madelyn was even more bummed out. She had spent three days and almost a million dollars spreading bad rumors about Alicia, only to accidentally make Alicia more popular.
