Vikram was in a deep thought. Since Karan gave a valid point. Soon to be a dad, he was feeling protected for his child.

He wanted his child not to suffer the same pain he did in his child. But now he was understanding all his mother's doing , after seeing Meera getting obsessed and over protective but her baby.

It's a form of love , which is not expressed well.

Vikram was born to Mrs. Sudha years after her marriage. Having a baby after yearning, he was now able to understand the kind the care his mother had on him, she wanted to shower all her love on him. The problem was she didn't had patience.
