Hitomi Got a Bad Feeling

Hitomi arrived at her house, and after she made dinner, she ate with her brother and asked him about his first day.

"It's nothing, just a boring day. Anyway, that's not important. Are we going to the amusement park next week?" He asked with great excitement in his voice.

"Yes," Hitomi nodded her head. She was lost in thought, and night came; the next day came with the same routine. Again, she couldn't control herself and sniffed her brother's underwear, then did something she felt guilty about.

After three days' time, she decided to go with Senha, so her brother would be able to live without her, and she could erase the feelings she had for her brother.

"I'm going overseas for three years?" Hitomi said while they were eating.

"Are you joking?" Ashai said as he laughed.

"No, I'm serious, I have this great opportunity, so I want to go there," Hitomi said seriously.

She saw her brother's expression change; he frowned and got up from the chair, seeming like he was going to shout at her. He clenched his fist tightly as if he might punch the table; he raised his fist but stopped midway.

"You said you're going to live with me forever," He said. His voice was low and sad.

Seeing him like this made Hitomi reconsider her choice. Her eyes showed hesitation, but then she became determined. For her and her brother's sake, she had to go away from here and make a distance between them. No matter how painful it was, it had to be done.

"I said that, but you know, I'm not going to stay single all my life. I will have a husband and children, and so will you. You're going to have a wife and children," Hitomi said, feeling pain with every word she spoke.

"I don't want a wife or children. I want you."

"I want a husband and children, so we are not going to spend all our life together," Hitomi said seriously, her voice strong as she looked at her brother directly.

She saw her brother leave the food as it was and leave the room.

Behind, alone, Hitomi felt like crying. She went to her room.

The next day, her brother stopped speaking to her. She cried many nights over her decision, and soon, the time came for her to leave.

She expected her brother to send her off, but he didn't come.

Alone, she went away, knowing she might not see her brother for three years.

Time passed. She called her brother, but he never answered. She told him to go to Senha's older sister, but he never went there and lived alone by himself.

Every day she thought about him, and she never got any news of him. She wondered what he was doing. Was he eating well? Was he okay by himself? If he got sick, was the neighbor she spoke to taking care of him?

Three years passed, but she never managed to get in touch with her brother. She asked her brother's neighbor to find out how her brother was doing. The neighbor said that he was doing okay.

Hitomi, who spent every day in regret over leaving her brother alone, finally saw three years pass, and she rushed to her house.

Hitomi, when she arrived at the house, saw it in a complete mess.

"He didn't clean anything; I guess he is just hopeless without me," Hitomi said as she cleaned his house, and a smile appeared on her face as she was excited to meet him.

She didn't see him in the house, so she went to her neighbor's house to find out where he went, but her neighbor's house was locked.

"Well, he must be out with his friends," Hitomi said to herself and stayed at home. After a long journey and cleaning up, she felt tired and decided to take a short nap but fell into a deep sleep.

When she woke up, it was the next morning, 3 AM.

"How long was I sleeping?" She shook her head and then looked for her brother. "He didn't even wake me up; is he still angry?"

She looked for him, but he wasn't in the house. "He didn't come home for a whole day? Just where did he go?"

She couldn't understand, so she decided to call him.

Yesterday, she wanted to surprise him, so she didn't call, but now she did call him, and she couldn't reach him.

So she decided to wait until 7 AM before going out to ask her neighbors if they knew anything. If she didn't find anything there, then she would have to go to school to get his friends' contact information.

When it was 7 AM, she went to ask her neighbor, but the house was locked.

Hitomi frowned. For the past few hours, she had tried to call her brother, and now she was attempting her 231st call, but this call again didn't reach him.

She sighed and decided to go to school to get some of his friends' contact information. As she was going, she saw a beautiful girl wearing a white top and red skirt with black leggings underneath walking towards her.

Hitomi looked at the girl and saw her going in the direction of her house. She waited and saw the girl ringing her house doorbell and calling her brother's name.

"Hey, do you know my brother?" Hitomi went over and asked.

The girl jumped, looked behind, and, seeing Hitomi, put her hand on her chest, sighing, "Phew, you surprised me there."

"Sorry, it's... Just seeing you calling my brother's name, I asked." Hitomi felt embarrassed, so she bowed in apology.

"Well... Ashai and I are good friends, and today we are going out together to watch a new movie, so I came here to get him," the girl said with a blush. "Do you know why he isn't picking up calls? I was trying to call him for the last three days, but he isn't picking up, so I had to come to the house. I'm sorry if I offended you in any way."

The girl bowed and said.

Hitomi might have felt amused seeing this girl bowing without any reason and perhaps threatened by her existence, but she didn't have that luxury, as she felt her heart tighten.

She felt cold all of a sudden, shivering in unknown fear that enveloped her.
