Chapter 39: Emerged from the shadows.

Night at one of the nightclubs of Masque Group in Hell's Kitchen.

In the corridor leading to the restroom, a man and a woman are arguing about something.

"Won't you really give me a chance?" The black-haired man looks straight at the platinum blonde woman in the eye and asks in a serious tone.

The woman and he were childhood friends. He doesn't know the reason why her attitude changed and she suddenly acted cold towards him when he thought that they would eventually become a couple.

It really broke his heart, and he was in deep depression later. Anyways, the situation will change tonight, and he would dominate this woman and make her his slave.

"Look, even though we grow up together, I tell you, I'm really not interested in being in a relationship with you anymore... why do you keep pestering me?" The woman crosses her arms and stares at the man coldly.

"Huh, Really?" The man paces back and forth while messing his short black hair and rubbing his jawline in a restless manner.

He looks around and sees that there are a lot of people coming and going. He says, "Could you please follow me outside? I will show you something for one last time, please?"

The woman raises a suspicious eyebrow but nevertheless follows the man outside.

She doesn't know why he is acting strange, but she is not afraid if anything happens.

Her five years of being a member of the Masque Group and as a woman who rose through the ranks by virtue to achieve Bronze Class, she is confident in her own skills.

Every Bronze Class member will receive a symbiote with normal strength and defense similar to the original Venom, a super soldier serum transformation, hand-to-hand combat or weapon mastery, a weapon summoning ability from the Clandestine, and just a simple mental detection for sensing if there was a mutant nearby.

In addition, she also has her own site to run like this bar with 100 Iron Class subordinates connected with a mental link.

All members of the Masque Group have longevity and will live on the future Racoon City for retirements.

After going out, they walk to the back of the bar where no one is.

They stop and look at each other.

"So what now? What are you trying to show me?" The woman says in doubt.

"Your present? Your present is here!" The man spreads his hands and laughs.

The woman suddenly hears a shuffling sound behind her, and with her mental detection, she can sense them moving at high speed from the rooftop and jumping to the ground.

Before she knows it, eight men, all with menacing fangs bared, surround her.

She quickly realizes that the man had set her up to be ambushed. The woman looks at the fierce appearance of these men in surprise and asks, "Is this the surprise you are talking about?... I am really surprised... Say, what kind of monster are you?"

The man hears her question and is confused at her calm appearance, but he still arrogantly says, "What monster? We are the new species of the new world! We are destined to rule the world... And the first step is to capture you and turn you into my b*tch like you should have been."

His real goal is to turn this woman into his same kind and control her, with her owning the bar, and then he could start his plan of turning every nightclub into a Vampire Den.

"Is that so? I'm afraid you'll be disappointed." She stands her ground and glares at the group of vampires, ready to fight and subdue them.

Maybe the higher echelon of the group will be interested in her discovery.

The man gets angry at her condescending attitude and shows his fangs and orders, "Attack this bitch!"

The eight vampires quickly move to attack while the man watches on the back.

The woman jumps back to avoid the attack and with a flick of her wrist, she sends the first vampire flying backward, and in a split second, she has taken down another two.

The rest of the vampires move in, their eyes glowing with bloodlust, but the woman is fearless. She punches, kicks, and dodges every attack that comes her way.

"Oh? Regenerative healing factor?" She is surprised that despite her heavy hand, the eight people could still stand and fix their dislocated bones.

She decides to use the weapon summoning.

With both short blades in her hand, she greets the eight vampires into a fight again.

The man soon realizes that he had underestimated this woman, as one by one, she maims to capture them with her superhuman strength, rendering them powerless.

As the last vampire falls at her feet, the man who had lured her outside quickly turns around to run away in fear and uses his racial trait to jump high and crawl to walls and disappear on the roof.

The woman stands victorious, panting but triumphant. She just watches the man leave and glances at the groaning vampires on the ground. "Huh, that was a good fight."

With their obvious characteristic, she already knows their race, and they were already warned by this kind of monster that they should be careful in the group meeting.

Andy hugged them left and right and looked at Agnes. "Well, care to explain what's going on?"

He stepped forward and looked down at the vampires and asked, "Who is your leader? Stand up."

The kneeling vampires looked at each other, then to a man in the front.

Andy knew him. He was the Vampire Elder and Leader of the House of Erebus.

He was later kidnapped by Deacon and was exposed to the sun.
