999 Not All That Glitters

While Wolfe and Ella were getting along famously with their morning partners, not everyone was so lucky. Mio had drawn a pair who simply couldn't get along. They hated each other at first sight, and there didn't seem to be a proper reason for it. 

Anything the other said was taken as snark or sarcasm, and they had been bickering all morning. The fact that she was on duty to train the guards during their daily practice today wasn't helping, as it only gave the two more to argue about, even though neither of them was capable of doing what the ladies of the guard were practising.

They were working on their in-flight targeting skills, and the Fae with Mio was no good with air magic, while the human candidate hadn't awakened her magic yet.

Finally, it was one of the guards that snapped.
