Finally, after a few more steps, she stopped completely. 'I can't leave like this,' she thought, her heart racing. She turned around, and there he was—still standing where she'd left him, watching her with that same calm expression.

Without giving herself time to second-guess, Azura mustered all the courage she had and hurried back toward him. She reached him in a few quick strides, her heart hammering in her chest, and before she could talk herself out of it, she wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into a tight embrace.
