18.6 Sneak Attack

I couldn't answer my sister's question as the earth suddenly rose around the clearing, the ground quaking with each pulse as the environment seemed to have a mind of its own. After a few more seconds, the earth finally stopped moving, and I finally had my knees back on a more stable footing.

Blinking, my eyes widened as I finally realized what the finished product was...

"I can see that you're surprised, but don't be alarmed by the precautions that I erected." Precautions?! "This would ensure that we can safely engage without fear of destroying the forest or any other woodland creature that might stray into our duel."
