"They likely won't attack until morning," Gaius stated as Kelly paced back and forth in front of the circle of me.

  "They can't aim their weapons at moving objects if they can't see them."

The wolves nodded in agreement. 

"We also have far better eyesight in the dark, especially with the moon still as bright as it is."

Kelly tilted his head up to stare at the waning moon. 

Though not completely full, it was only a few days past the Full Moon, so it still shone silver across the prairie.

  They were all gathered on the very edge of the territory. 

The sun had only just set; they had arrived no more than an hour ago. 

The soldiers were quite, resting in small groups, waiting for orders. 

The wolves were anxious, the stress pouring off them in waves.
