Chapter 185 - Consequences

Axel and Ging made their way through the castle, moving quickly and silently to avoid detection. As they turned a corner, they spotted two guards standing watch outside a door. Without hesitation, Axel and Ging sprang into action.

Axel moved towards his target with a swift and decisive attack, knocking him unconscious with a precise strike. Ging followed suit, taking down his guard with a flurry of blows.

As they continued deeper into the castle, Axel couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt for his earlier actions. He knew that killing was sometimes necessary, but he also understood the importance of maintaining a certain appearance.

He looked over at Ging, wondering if he had noticed the change in Axel's behavior. But Ging seemed focused on the mission at hand, his attention fixed on the task of finding the blood dagger.

As they continued to make their way through the castle, Ging commented on Axel's improved technique and noted that he didn't need to kill the guards they encountered. "You don't always have to resort to killing, Axel," Ging said. "It's not necessary and can actually cause more problems than it solves."

Axel thought about what Ging said and realized that he was right. Killing wasn't always the best solution, and it could have unintended consequences. He made a mental note to be more careful in the future and to only use lethal force when absolutely necessary.

As Ging and Axel made their way deeper into the castle, Ging couldn't help but comment on Axel's previous actions. "You know, Axel, killing isn't always necessary," he said. "Sure, it may seem like the easiest way to get rid of a problem, but in the world of Nen, it can lead to serious consequences."

Ging started talking again about the matter of killing Nen users, this time especially. Axel was not expecting him to talk like this, as he had never seen Ging as a man who valued the lives and deaths of others.

Axel raised an eyebrow. "What kind of consequences?"

As Axel asked, he knew that Ging would tell him about the resentment of the Nen user. But he decided to not stop Ging from explaining to him, as it makes no sense; in the end, people do not care about many things.

"Well," Ging began, "for one, Nen users can develop a deep resentment towards their killer." "They may even seek revenge, using their Nen abilities to harm or even kill the murderer."

Axel frowned. "I see your point," he said. "But what if it's a matter of life or death? What if killing is the only way to ensure my own survival?"

Ging sighed. "There's always a way, Axel," he replied. "It may not be easy, but there's always a way. Killing should always be a last resort."

Axel nodded, taking in Ging's words. He realized that he had been too quick to resort to killing in the past and that there were other ways to handle difficult situations. He vowed to be more mindful of his actions in the future.
