(Kiera POV)
I woke up.
It was all an illusion.
Thank god.
I placed my hand over my right eye.
'Tears? Why.'
I looked up and saw Scarlet staring at me in utter shock.
"Kiera?" She called out.
I removed my hand from my face and looked at it.
'Blood?'
My hands had blood smeared all over them. Blood was dripping down from Adonis' long blade and there was blood around the corners of my mouth.
"Yes?" I replied to Scarlet.
"Are you alright?"
"..Yes" I replied after a little delay.
"What was that? You were—"
"It's nothing." I cut in before Scarlet could say anything else.
"THAT WASN'T NOTHI—"
"I told you. It's nothing." I replied.
The boss monster was on the floor in two pieces and dying the floor a scarlet red that was streaming from its lifeless corpse.
"Did I kill it?"
"Y-you did."
"I see."
I stood there in silence staring at my hands. Palms facing me. I let go of Adonis and made it back into its stone like form.
"Do you need help walking?" I asked Scarlet who was wobbling over to me and using her sword as a walking stick to support herself.
"I think I'll be fine." Scarlet said. "Please tell me what happened."
"No."
"Wh—"
"I said no." My face was straight. Emotionless. No life in my eyes. No little sparkle that could be noticed in my eyes before. Nothing.
"I'm your teacher. I can help."
I didn't bother to reply. How could she help me. Nothing could be done. To me or those people.
Despite locking up my emotions it still felt.. overwhelming.
A portal came out from the throne and expanded. Our exit.
I walked forwards realising that my knees where weak. I transformed Adonis into a spear and just like Scarlet, used it to support myself.
"Kiera-"
"Stop. Come on we are leaving the dungeon." I said not even looking at Scarlet. I just stumbled my way over to the portal before reaching my hand out and brushing it against the portal.
My surroundings became a white flash and I was out. I was no longer in the dungeon but outside. Back to where I began the dungeon but there was no portal. Just the surrounding grassland.
"We are out." I said as Scarlet appeared next to me.
"Come on Kiera. Let's go back and.. please tell me what happened in that illusion. I've never seen someone in so much pain, so much agony. And I've never seen you show anything but in that moment all I could see was your pain. Let me help."
"You wouldn't understand. Why do you want to help anyway?"
"I'm your instructor. Therefore I must help."
"Only that. Just my instructor. Nothing more or less." I said as I begun walking in the direction of Kerose.
"Oh my wings." I said blankly as I realised that I was in my humanoid form.
I transformed myself back into my human form and continued my walk. Scarlet was behind me and was struggling to walk more than me.
I slowed my pace a little and we walked back in silence.

(Scarlet POV)
We were walking in silence back to Kerose and I noticed how Kiera slowed her pace so I wouldn't fall behind.
'She is being kind but probably doesn't realise.' I thought to myself.
'Who was that though. That goddess. What does she have to do with Kiera and she loves her?'
I had many questions that needed answering but mainly what Kiera saw in that illusion. It broke her. No traces of life were in her eyes. Before she used to have a small spark in her eyes but now that was gone too. She used to act warmer towards Tess which I assume is the other dragon but now I wonder what it'll be like between those two.

(Tess POV)
I wonder when Kiera will be back. I feel lonely despite having Catherine here with me. It's not the same.
I'm currently lying in my bed on my stomach reading a romance novel I found.
It's about two girls that fell in love. I never realised that two people of the same gender could love. I thought it had to be male and female so they could mate and produce offspring but I guess sometimes that doesn't count?
'I wonder what Kiera thinks. I'll ask her when she comes back! I'll also get her to tell me all about her journey! It sounded fun! I wish they brought me along.'
"Tess why are you reading that?" Catherine asked as she sat on her bed crossing her legs.
"I found it. Why?"
"I didn't know you were into that kind of stuff. You got a crush or something?"
"I don't think so? Why, do you?"
"There is this really cute girl from the class next to ours and she has black hair, green eyes, pretty figure and she I quite tall. Her name is Eve. Heard of her?" Catherine replied with a smile.
"Nah I've never heard of her."
"Really? Well she is super cute!"
"That means your into girls right? Like this book."
"Hm? Yeah I guess so." Catherine giggled. "Are you sure you don't like anyone?"
"No one I can think of. I don't know what it means to love anyway."
"What?! You don't? I guess the easiest way to put it is that you always want to spend time with them, you want to get closer to them, your heart beats faster around them and you find them attractive. Well that's what happens to me. Soooo.. anyone you like? There must be someone!"
"Hmmm.."
'I mean I do find Kiera attractive and I want to get closer to her, but in what way? I do love spending time with her and talking about anything and everything but does that mean I love her? I love Kiera?'
"Haha your face is red! You must like someone then! Come on tell me! I'll keep it a secret." Catherine said as she put a finger to her lips.
