Chapter 10: What Does Vin Know?

Emily’s perspective:

Gabby sits on the couch in front of me. She is still p*ssed at me for taking her away from Austin, but I can see in her face that she, like me, is torn between letting the passion and happiness of fate (the first real happiness we’ve had in a long time) take us and sticking with the original plan.

“It’s the only plan that I can imagine will get us out of Alaska before Vin finds us. I’m sorry,” I say.

Arms crossed, she rolls her eyes to face the ceiling. “Whatever. I know. I know. It’s just, how can I?”
