I walk down the hall and walk inside my room I saw a lady she wore a black feminine coat and a pair of brown pant and beside her was a young beautiful girl I walk in and bow respectful to the lady my assumption was right she was a newbie like us and his our fucking room mate

" miss Davis this would be your room and you could see the empty wardrobe it belongs too you settle down, tomorrow you can take your time and get use to the school system and I guess the school arms book is with you make sure you go through it carefully " she said strictly and turn too us giving us the look of ' make her fell comfortable and don't mess around ' she left giving our room a one last glance.

on my observation Davis is a shy girl she is very reserve or more like introvert " hi " she greet first looking down " hello " I greet too "my name is Kelly and my friend Sonia " I introduce " my name is Davis " she replied " nice too meet you Davis " I said " the pleasure is mine " she said " so you are welcome to military academy" I said trying to make her feel comfortable " thank " she replied with a smile while arranging her stuff.

it was already 6pm and I was hungry my stomach growl and I suddenly realized I just skip both breakfast and dinner I think I would faint if I don't eat something and it already late " oh god" I said rolling on my bed

" hungry?" Davis ask

"yeah skip breakfast and dinner" I said more too myself " I have dinner you could come eat with me if you don't mind " she ask

I was taken aback because I never expected her too care .

" no I don't like having this Chinese food they are too spicy" I said " no mine was home-made my mom actually made it " she said unlocking her food pack. my stomach growl again so I decided to eat I took a spoon full and it was amazing " hmmm yummy your food is the best in all the food I have had since I came to this country " I commented " I told ya my mom is the best " Davis said with pride " obviously my noisy nigger forgot I also skip breakfast and dinner because of you " she said

" you skip your dinner because you go busy looking out for your crush why then are you blaming me pooker face " I said

it was a really cold evening so after dinner we had small conversation and slept soundly through the night.

days flew by quickly so as months now it was almost the 10 months staying in this school things didn't go as planned I promise my parents that I did call every weekend and it has been two months since I last spoke too them oftentimes I felt guilty for not calling at least to check up on them I wasn't the type of person that goes back on my words but circumstances made me, I realized the more you stay the more work loaded you will be, been a newbie was the worst experience ever you work at the military car pack the military kitchen the military restroom the military supplies store you have too work and work still your bone are crush into pieces.

this is too much for the newbies it almost seems like a second punishment two months more and am done been newbie reaching out too phone I decided to call my parents at least I dialed my mom number cause I know she would have been worried now just immediately as I expected it was immediately answered " hello mummy how are you guys doing ? " I ask " hello Kelly how are you? mummy has been worried sick baby we miss you alot I hope you are eating fine ?how are you cooping with everything? she asked

" mum mum listen too me I no longer a baby mum am 22 and am a capable adult now mama am doing perfectly fine there are nice people good food " I said " even though you are 22 and a capable adult you are still my baby and you will always be , okay " she said softly "okay mama "

" am so happy you are fine but you sound stress why baby ?"

" mom stop getting work up mummy military is all about work and combat nothing else am in good health am adjusting fast too everything and am fine "

" I just want you too be fine baby don't hesitate to call when sick okay don't hide anything we are home and you could tell me anything promise me you would stay safe"

" make sure you call regularly I Know it isn't easy but try your mom is always worried

" yeah dad I would try as much as possible to call at least during the weekend okay greet my siblings okay " I said

" okay when are you coming back?" he ask

"dad I don't know because we only have short break like 2_3 days and I would spent almost 36_43hours on the plane " I said
