Valina pulled away from Tavin, the heat from his lips still lingering on hers. His eyes were as wide as dinner plates, and his face was flush all over. Her heart thundered, and she couldn’t stop smiling. She had never done that before; her body had just moved, almost on its own, and it left her tingling all over. She had to stop herself from going back to do it again.
They still sat on the bench, in the cool of night, lit by the moon and stars. Somehow, the dim light made everything about him seem alluring. His hands, his shoulders, his eyes, his lips...
“Wow,” Tavin breathed.
“Yeah,” she replied, her own breath heavier than expected. “Wow.”
“I…” Tavin stuttered a bit. “I don’t know what to say.”
