Author's guide to power levels

Quite a few readers have reached out to me, repeatedly, with regards to power levels, while this isn't the focus of the story, I will attempt to explain the reasoning behind the power structure.

Dragonball is a bit vague about strength after Namek, and for good reason, this story will be following in it's footsteps shortly, until then here's the bare bones.

To not inflate the numbers too much, short values will be used, and in place of Raditz, canon Broly will be used, him being the closest transformation wise to Raditz.

Assigning base Goku at 10 points.

In DBS, Broly is revealed to be stronger than Base Goku and Vegeta, but he is also found to be weaker than their Super Saiyan transformations, this is demonstrated when Broly had to trigger Ikari against SS Vegeta to keep up.

Taking into consideration his overall performance against base and SS respectively, base Broly is surpassing 10 but is quite a bit below 500.

So Base Broly can be assigned a respectable 300.

Now for Broly's Ikari, there are two possibile options

First, it is Oozaru's basic 10 times boost.

Second, it is a different boost altogether, being a better way to use Oozaru's power.

* Option one

Base Broly - 300

Ikari Broly - 3000

Base Goku - 10

Super Saiyan Goku - 500

Super Saiyan 2 Goku - 1000

Super Saiyan 3 Goku - 4000

With 50, 100, 400 being the official multipliers of the forms respectively.

Now here comes the issue, if Iakri gives a basic 10 times boost, Broly is already losing to a Super Saiyan 3 Goku.

Even when highballing his base to 500, it would give him only 5000, which makes him just equal to super Vegeto.

When base Vegeto is 10×10, then super Vegeto would be 5000.

But Ikari Broly is not only stronger than god Goku, he was also taking hits from blue Goku, although he wasn't winning, and Vegeto isn't even in the same ballpark as god Goku, Goku himself confirmed this.

This makes Ikari being 10 times a redundant option, canon Broly follows a logical path to power, he dosen't simply get stronger without limits like og Broly, to fight stronger opponents he has to transform just like every other Saiyan.

This was established in his first canon apperance, Broly was losing to Vegeta in base, he had to transform into Ikari to fight back, then he was losing to Goku in blue and would have lost according to Freeza and Paragus if he wasn't forced into Super Saiyan.

This dichotomy alone makes the option in question void.

* Option two

Base Broly : 300

Ikari Broly : >>5000 (Super Vegeto )

From the get go, this equation shows a multiplier higher than 10, considering we know next to nothing about God multipliers, there can only be vague conclusions.

Base Broly > Base Goku

SS Goku > Base Broly

Ikari Broly > God Goku

Blue Goku > Ikari Broly

SS Ikari Broly >> Blue Goku

Blue Vegeto > SS/LSS Broly

This roughly puts Broly's Ikari and Goku's God form at a similar boost, which would make Iakri something akin to a biological alternative to god level strength without knowing anything about God ki.

Conclusion -

Ikari and SS God give a similar increase in strength.

Neither God form nor Ikari is specific to either users, if conditions permit, anyone can use any from, Raditz has used this knowledge to create his own path, a path specific to him.
