True-Friend-Indeed (I)

Harry stared at himself in the mirror and he must admit his eyes were much more vibrant than before… That was probably the most noticeable change he noticed after whatever happened to him last night. His body was a bit more chiseled than before and his muscles felt a bit stronger than before, but to be honest, he didn't believe that anybody could notice those changes.

|Your eyes are so beautiful… I am jealous| Lily huffed cutely with a pout on her face, making Harry chuckle in amusement.

|Don't worry, mom. When I finally build you a body, I will make your eyes vibrant like mine| Harry promised, making Lily hum. He knew that he could definitely build her a body with his newfound intelligence. |By the way, do you think I should tell Jacklyn the truth?| Harry asked as there was no way Jacklyn would not notice his eyes and the out of the blue power boost.

|I think you should tell her some things, but not everything| Lily answered thoughtfully, making Harry nod his head in agreement.

|Exactly what I was thinking. By the way, I was pondering about the Goblet during the shower, and something clicked inside my mind| Harry explained before he snapped his fingers to dry his hair. |I was wondering if the Goblet could bind me with an Unbreakable Magical Contract with a fake name in the first place| Harry revealed thoughtfully.

|...To be honest, I don't know… For reasons like these, I never called you Hadrian in front of Voldemort, but when it comes to an Unbreakable Magical Contract, a lot depends on the Intent. You clearly don't have any intention of participating, and using a fake name shouldn't work, but I can't say anything for sure…| Lily mumbled as she started to rub her chin with a deep frown on her face.

|I see… Is there anything else you can tell me?| Harry asked curiously. He was glad that his mom never called him Hadrian in front of Voldemort, which meant that even Voldemort was unaware of his real name.

|I am sorry, Hadrian, I can't tell you more. Magical Contracts are not one of my expertise| Lily admitted morosely, feeling really bad for not being able to help her son.

|It's alright, mom… You have already done enough for me and you can't know everything| Harry quickly said, trying to comfort her as what he said was the truth. |Though I think there is someone who might be able to help me| Harry added as he scratched the back of his head. He wasn't sure, but that woman was his best bet right now even though she was as creepy as fuck…

With a wave of his hand, Harry dried his body as he walked out of the bathroom, wrapped in a towel. He could have Conjured clothes for himself, but Conjured clothes don't last very long and he still needed to see how long his Conjured clothes would last before going public.

After all, it would be mortifying if all of his clothes disappeared while walking down the streets minding his own business… He could already see the headlines in his head…

'The-Boy-Who-Bared'

'The-Boy-Who-Streaked'

There were a few more Headlines coming to his mind, but none of them were catchy. He shook his head in amusement and started to get dressed. When he was finally done, he made his way into the kitchen, only to find a plate of eggs benedict waiting for him. He could see the steam coming out, which meant that the food was still hot.

"Thanks, Norton!" Harry thanked the house elf cheerfully before he started to dig in…

<Line Break>

Harry stepped through the Floo and snapped his fingers to remove the soot from his shoulders. "Harry, is that you?" Harry heard Jacklyn's voice from outside the house. He used one of the public Floos to Floo into Jacklyn's house as he still didn't know how to Apparate or create Portkey. Maybe, he will be able to learn them today… With his newfound intelligence, he was sure he could learn them within a day.

"Yeah, it's me" Harry called out as he started to make his way toward the back door.

"I am out at the back deck" Jacklyn called out loudly. Though Harry didn't need it as he could already guess where she was.

He walked out of the back door, only to find Jacklyn working out… Right now, she was skipping. Harry looked her over and nodded his head in appreciation… He couldn't deny her beauty. Jacklyn finally stopped skipping and dropped the skipping rope as she started to approach him, she opened her arms to pull him into a hug, but all of a sudden she froze and her eyes narrowed at him.

"You are different" Jacklyn bit out while staring at Harry intently.

"Yeah…" Harry muttered with an unsure look on his face and started to rub the back of his head. "Something happened yesterday during the last Ritual of the Set" Harry revealed nervously and Jacklyn simply urged him to continue, but a look of concern washed over her face when he revealed something happened to him during the Ritual.

"My Core changed… I don't know what happened. I don't even know why or how it happened, but it did… Go on, cast the Diagnostic Charm on me" Harry explained and invited her to use the Diagnostic Charm on him and stepped forward.

Jacklyn frowned at him, but after hearing his words, she was really worried… She was worried that he might have crippled his Magic by doing something wrong. She nodded her head mutely and pulled out her Wand, which was tucked in her Wand Holster, and pointed it at Harry. Without saying anything, she cast the Diagnostic Charm on him and when she finally received the results, her eyes grew wide in surprise.

She was so surprised that she didn't even notice the fact that her Wand slipped out of her hand and clattered on the floor… She immediately rushed at Harry and grabbed him by his shoulders… "How? How did that happen?" Jacklyn asked hurriedly as she started to shake him. Even though she was still shocked and surprised, she couldn't hide her growing excitement.

"Calm down, Jacky. Calm down" Harry blurted out as he started to feel a bit woozy.

"How the fuck can I be calm when something like this happened to you?!" Jacklyn exclaimed, but she did let go of him and raised her hands in the air in exasperation. "Do you even know what this means for you?" Jacklyn asked, looking extremely giddy for him.

"I can already guess" Harry answered drily. "But I still don't know what happened to my Magical Core" Harry pointed out.

"Fuck that!! You can be a fucking God!" Jacklyn exclaimed in excitement and before Harry could say anything, tears started to roll down her eyes and she finally broke down. He was taken by surprise when all of a sudden, she started to cry… He immediately rushed at her and pulled her into his arms.

"What happened, Jacky?" Harry asked in a worried tone as he started to rub her back comfortingly.

"I am happy, you fool. Happy for you" Jacky said while wiping off her eyes with her hands. "I know you have a lot of enemies and I was so worried for you… Now, I don't need to be" Jacklyn shook her head as a smile formed on her face. She had long accepted the fact that Harry was someone who is bound to be much greater than her, so she didn't feel jealous… Not even in the slightest. In fact, she was happy for him.

"I know you have secrets and your drive to become stronger isn't something normal. I have seen it on your face… You are worried about something" Jacklyn revealed, surprising Harry. He thought he had hidden it well, but apparently, he was wrong.

"Does Brittany know?" Harry asked with a hint of concern in his voice, only for Jacklyn to shake her head in denial. Harry sighed in relief… She was nothing like Jacklyn, so he wanted to keep her as far as he could from his enemies… "I am sor…" Harry started to apologize, but Jacklyn stopped him by placing a finger on his lips.

"No need to apologize, Harry. We all have our own secrets" Jacklyn said in an understanding tone while giving him a nod.

|Tell her about Voldemort and the Goblet. She is a keeper… Everyone needs someone who they can talk with without all pretenses| Lily urged him to reveal some of his secrets to Jacklyn. She wasn't happy with the fact that her son and Jacklyn will be getting even closer after this conversation, but her Hadrian needed to do this.

|Are you sure, mom?| Harry asked in an unsure tone.

|Yes, I am sure. You need someone like her in your life… Someone who will stand by your side no matter what happens. She has been helping you from the start, I think she deserves this chance| Lily explained softly. Jacklyn never showed any interest in Hadrian, which obviously helped her decision.

|Alright!| Harry nodded his head in understanding. He stared at Jacklyn… "Jacky, there are a few things I need to tell you. I should have done this some time ago, but it's better late than never" Harry chuckled.

"There is no need to force yourself to tell me your secrets, Harry. I understand" Jacklyn said while giving him an understanding nod, but Harry quickly shook his head.

"No, I need to tell you" Harry said quickly and then his features softened. "I want to tell you" Harry said softly and Jacklyn nodded her head in understanding.

"Alright. I will ask Morsi to bring us something" Jacklyn said as she started to make her way toward the chairs, followed by Harry. The two of them sat down and Harry started to tell her about Voldemort, making her go pale like a ghost…
