6.12 Marking Territory

Cass paused his playing when his cell phone buzzed. Glancing at the text, he read, *I'm here, come out.*

Surprised that Yuning had come in person instead of sending a driver, Cass stood up and turned to Shaifeng. "I'm leaving. My car's here."

Shaifeng closed his computer, nodding. "I'll walk you down."

Together, they entered the elevator, and when they reached the ground floor, they stepped out. Cass led the way to the front door, where he paused, a smile playing on his lips as he saw Yuning leaning against the car, arms crossed.

Approaching, Yuning greeted Cass with a seductive smile. "How are you?"

Cass responded casually, "I'm okay. What about you?"

Yuning's smile widened. "I'm okay, now that I see you."

Chuckling, Cass shook his head. Yuning then reached for Cass's bag.

Shaifeng's expression briefly darkened before he stepped forward, introducing himself. "Hey, I'm Shaifeng."
