Space hostesses? That's a new designation

There wasn't much work the first couple months. We occasionally had the pleasure of serving a handsome man. Honestly speaking, I would have loved be his sex - *cough* *cough* love-slave but he was never interested in us. And when we caught him with his girlfriend, it devastated our hearts.

"I knew it. Living in Malaysia for such a long time was a mistake." - Emily.

"Why isn't he interested in any of us? I have a bigger butt than his girlfriend." - me

Those were the conversations we had the day we saw him with his girlfriend being all mushy with each other, while being drunk at our room in the hotel. But at the end professional life mattered. We actually got to see what the guy dealt with and we couldn't be proud when we got to know that he was the main man behind the life changing drug that would hit the market soon.

We were so happy that we boasted to our friends and family about working for the man who would alter the medical field worldwide. Because of this, we had been residing in San Francisco for a while when we began to hear about North Korea's transformation.

At first, Emily didn't believe since she assumed it was likewise North Korean and Chinese propaganda. But then the news blew up. All of the news channels started talking about how Pyongyang had transformed. The more we observed, the more enthralled we were. And honestly, like the pilots and Emily, I too wanted to see this new country that we have been seeing in the news.

And on September 31st, the jet was called to Pyongyang, as if God had heard our prayers. It was very odd that only the jet was called and it would travel without any passengers. Nevertheless, we prepared for our longest flight ever and took off. Even though the flight was a rigorous 7 hours, it was all worthwhile when we landed in Pyongyang.

We arrived in the city in the afternoon, and what we saw astounded us. We could see four gigantic objects outside the plane's tiny windows that resembled science fiction spaceships in certain ways.

"Emily, are those what we think they are."

"I don't know Cassey.. I don't know."

One of the ships then abruptly began to lift off the ground, perhaps to confirm our doubts. It was a vertical takeoff, but once it was a few feet in the air, it shot into the sky at an incredibly fast speed. I think it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life so far.

"Cassey, tell me this is not a dream." Emily trembled as she spoke. I gave her a pinch in return.

"Ouch! Fuck it is real."

"Emily, what are we doing here?" I asked as I didn't understand why was this place in our itinerary. Nothing about what we would have to do once we arrived at this fascinating airport was written. While we were parking the jet, we observed everything. We still couldn't get over the flying ship that just took off.

"I'm not sure. However, I'm delighted we're here." said Emily. After landing, a man came forward to look at our passports and the news were right. The majority of them employed here didn't resemble North Koreans at all.

However, we ignored that and soon after passing through customs with the pilots, we arrived at the exit. When we reached the exit, our names were written on a plaque. This gave us pleasure. At least Mr. Kashyap had plans for us, though we weren't sure what they were.

It was there we first hopped into the famous flying cars that we had been looking in the news and I couldn't help open my Instagram live and it didn't take much time to gain almost 500 concurrent views. We were led to believe that this was paradise by the city. With no traffic, automobiles flying above and below us, tall, gorgeous trees along the roads, and futuristic-looking structures, the scene was stunning.

This exemplified the meaning of the term "beauty."

Soon we were led to the huge palace which had been called in the news as the Earth Palace. The big meeting was planned to take place here. However, we observed some of the world leaders conversing to one another when we were at the airport.

From all the whispers we heard while in the customs we got to finally know that the ship that flew away was a spaceship and the world leaders were currently lining up to go to space with the other three ships that were parked.

Those whispers made our heart beat fast but we held on to our imagination. As soon as we arrived at the Earth Palace, we were brought down the stairs and into the hallways. There we even got to see robots working.

"How is this place so technologically advanced?" Emily was uncertain. Despite the fact that we have both been living and traveling for a while, we have never before encountered such cutting-edge technology. It was very hard to comprehend.

But eventually a room in the Earth Palace itself was assigned to us. Since there had just been a global meet here, we initially assumed we would have to escort a renowned person out of the Earth Palace. However, when we were offered rooms to remain, it completely blew our minds.

"Cassey, what connection does Mr. Kashyap have to this nation?"

"I'm not sure. He might have gotten access to such a fantastic medication that could treat everything because of this nation." I said. That was the only answer that made sense. Perhaps he already had past relationships with the leaders of North Korea, and he made use of those relationships.

Anyway, even though it was a lengthy journey, it wasn't really exhausting. We slept during the flight, so we were all rested. We actually intended to see the Palace and the city, but we had to wait since it appeared that our call wouldn't arrive for a while.

Since there was nothing to do, we got freshen up and since we were hungry we ordered some food to the suite. The fact that it was all free was a plus. The lunch was presented hot and was, to put it mildly, absolutely amazing. After spending 3 more hours in the room, finally the person who led us called and we followed that person again.

We were soon led to a room, and this was where that blew our minds. We came face to a person sitting on the chair while a man and two women sitting on a sofa beside. It was an office room from the looks of it but we did recognize the people in the room.

It was Mr. Kashyap with his girlfriend, friend and family member whom we met in the wedding that we attended.

"Mr. Kashyap..!?"

"Welcome to Pyongyang. How's the flight?" Robin posed a modest query.

"We.. We had a great flight sir, I thought you were in San Francisco." Emily was unable to hold back her sentiments and expressed them.

"Hahaha.. travel is a luxury for me anyways and it's not a big deal that I came here before." Robin responded, pulling out two pages of paper, and passing them to us. We initially believed that this was a letter of dismissal because the planes we saw in the airports didn't meet the requirements of this nation.

It suffices to state that by that point, our suspicions that Mr. Kashyap might have connections to North Korea had been confirmed, and the planes of this facility no longer required our assistance. But if we were being dismissed, why the lengthy journey.

However, after reading the information in the papers, we understood why we had traveled such a great distance to receive them, and we even had the opportunity to meet the individual in person. It was a new contract and an NDA.

"As you are aware, I will no longer be using the old plane. Those ships in the airport, which are for space travel, may have caught your eye. I would prefer for you two to serve in the same capacity as you did as air hostesses during my space voyage." The thing Robin sought was described in only a few words.

He spoke, and both of our hands shook. We weren't prepared for that. Space travel? Space hostesses? Does that work even exist? And that position was being presented to us? It was too good to be true.

Additionally, the pay was two million dollars when we saw it, not in US dollars but rather in whatever currency had the most purchasing power at the time. Again, we were in awe at this. Since it was an NDA form we couldn't just speak to our family about whom we were catering too but we could say that we would become space hostesses.

Emily after reading the whole document didn't bother to wait. She took a pen and signed on the papers. She was visibly excited as she signed. Seeing her at the end, I too didn't wait for more time and signed.
