We had reached a small clearing, where we stopped as I looked at Eclair, who was helping with unloading the things from Carriage.
I changed the party system to only include Eclair since I wanted to level out the party before anything else.
"Alright I and Eclair will be hunting to get her level up, as for you both We will be having a spar after I come back when Eclair hits Level 6 better get yourselves ready." I spoke as I could almost hear Arna grumble under her breath.
"You got a problem?"
"No!!" She replied as I looked at Eclair.
"Start running east, there are two beasts there around 100 meters in, I will follow soon They should be around level 3 Kill them before I get there." I spoke as Eclair looked at me before she nodded and hesitated before running there.
"Will she be alright?" Arna asked as I smirked.
"Both of you were capable of fighting above your level, since she was called the strongest knight of Melromac, she should be capable of that much atleast. But if the only reason she is strong is because of her stats then she is useless." I replied sensing Eclair nearing the two beasts.
"I will leave you both warm up," I spoke jumping off accelerating off hearing Arna say something as I arrived where Eclair was, hiding my Mana I stood on the branch looking at her. Her stats were much worse that the Beasts that turned out to be kobolds Let's see what she does.
Eclair hid herself nearing the two before being a few meters away drawing her sword without making a sound, before picking up a stone and throwing it away from her as the two idiots focused their attention towards the sound as her mana surged just a little as she dashed towards the further one while kicking the nearest one in the knees making it buckle before striking at the Kobold,
Not a bad strategy but she overlooked one important aspect.
They were a lot faster than her currently....as the one she had kicked earlier was already behind her I was still watching her as her sword started to glow....that sliced through the one that was trying to attack her from behind.
hoho seem like we would need to have a talk immeditely.....I sent a slash killing the other one before her sword reached the second one.
"Well good work Miss Eclair, now can we have a little talk?"

3rd POV
Eclair who was standing looking at Adric who jumped down from the tree as she immeditely felt a cold shiver run down her spine as he looked at her his one golden eye shining in the darkness of the forest.
"Well Miss Eclair care to tell me where you learnt the moon sword from?" Adric spoke his voice eerily calm as almost all the hair on her body stood up as she unconsciously took a step back into a defensive stance.
How did he know about the technique?
sure it was passed down in her family after a previous generation Sword hero gave it to them but the Adric shouldn't know about it.
"I think I asked a Question?" Adric voice came out soft.
Eclair felt the sky had come crashing down on her shoulders as her knees buckled as she fell down barely proping herself up with her sword.
"I..It was passed down in the family through the generations!" She managed to squeeze out as the weight lifted off as she found herself staring at the one golden and one gray pupils as Adric squatted in front of her.
"How long are we talking about?"
"I don't know how long but a few hundred years at the very least." Eclair replied as the eyes softened a little bit and the chillness withdrew,
"Sorry about that, just needed to know about something, I will explain it to you eventually get back to camp I have something to think about." Adric spoke as Eclair looked at him, he had the same easygoing expression as when she had him all day nothing like the chilly presence that she felt a second ago.
"Y..yes I will be at camp," Eclair answered before leaving.
Adric sighed as he took out his sword staring at it,
"It's been a while since I saw that." He spoke smiling lightly as his sword glowed similar to the moonlight,

1st POV
10 minutes later
I breathed out looking at the marking on the ground, Moon sword is still the same sis...
Did she also end up here after being killed in the dungeon like me, ending up as the sword hero a few generations ago.
How did that even happen,
Lucia Norlov
My Sister who was two years older than me, and bested me at almost everything except combat, well she was a Norlov in the end so we were at each others throats till the day that she died.
She did however beat me in one crucial thing that I was never able to creating her own technique like every Norlov is supposed to before turning 35,
She did it when she was 19 and I wasn't able to, so it's my loss
The family might even scrub my name off from the family tree since I didn't leave anything behind.
I smirked, I might have to go down a rabbit hole for this one.
Another Task for Joel to do.
But what do I do about Eclair? The half imitation of the technique just make my skin crawl, but on the other hand I don't want to give Melromac a weapon, that might point her sword towards me one day.
What to do? I could coax her to my side but considering her behavior she is very loyal and of all things the Queen will be back in two months at the most and a month at the very least.
Let's see, First I need enough dirt on Aultcray to kick him out, or force the queen to kick him out.
second, I need to get the two siblings up-to a level where they can easily match the two idiot heroes.
third, I need information on Vassal heroes and the power dynamics between legendary and vassal heroes.
Can't go to the castle since they are a bunch of idiots,
Can't put everything on Joel since he might withhold information.
Can't try and take over another country since this is a golden opportunity to take one of the most powerful countries.
haaa,
first let's train Eclair properly otherwise my skin will crawl every time I see her using that technique.
Let's get down to it then, and since she was one of the highest ranking knights she would know more than most people about the Vassal weapons and so forth.
I decided to head back as I saw Eclair sitting near the fire with Arna handing out her portion of the food.
"You are back too, apparently I had to cook since Kelin won rock paper scissors."
"Well good for you, at least you will improve somewhere" I heard Kelin's voice from the Carriage,
"Fuck off"
Reyna on the other hand climbed onto my shoulder, as I scratched it's chin.
I looked at Eclair who seemed extremely quite, I don't blame her.
I may have gone a little overboard getting answers that I wanted.
We finished our dinner as the twins decided to sleep.
Kelin sleeping in the carriage while the two women taking a tent leaving one for me, but I am pretty sure Arna would end up in my tent anyway.
"Hey Eclair come here" I spoke as I could see her hesitate before coming forward as I walked a some distance away from the tents before drawing my sword.
"Watch carefully" I spoke as I could see her getting confused.
I carefully channeled my mana as the sword began to glow, well sis I didn't think I would have to perform it here of all places.
28 steps, each building up on the previous swing increasing the attack power with each step. She should be able to do Eight steps with her current strength.
I moved as I had seen Lucia move when she first used it against me, I had won but still that was still a dangerous technique in her hands.
I was already on the tenth step by the time I realized as I looked back to see Eclair looking dazed, as I walked past her.
"This is the real one, don't disappoint me." I spoke leaving Eclair who seemed to have heard me but didn't reply.
I reached Arna who seemed to be smiling,
"Did you teach her too?"
"I did, if she using the technique at least she needs to use it properly"
"Don't you think it might have been too much for her to follow?" Kelin spoke as I shrugged,
"That is just a third of the full, if she is not able to learn I have no intention of keeping her" I replied heading for my tent as I could almost hear Kelin say something like 'You always say that' under his breath.
I think I may have been going easy on these two.
