Sandevistan Those Numbers

I looked weird. That's all I could think when I looked in the mirror after finishing the recovery from my latest body overhaul. Right off the bat I was bald all over, barely starting to sprout the new hairs that grow naturally from my RealSkin. Gone were my silky smooth curly locks, a shocking enough transition even before the constantly surprised look to my face from the lack of eyebrows.

But loosing all the hair wasn't what was wigging me out. A week of hair growth products and I'll be looking like Tom Selleck's Mexican son. No, what was giving me the heeby jeebees was how skinny I am right now. Since I was replacing nearly all my meat bits there wasn't any need to add back in all the body fat, so I was currently more cut than a julienne salad. My thick skin system prevented the heavy striation of my muscles to show through the skin, but not a single muscle group showed poorly, my body bulging and bursting with the classical herculean physique.

I'd kept my bone structure the same, so even lean I was still thicc, but it'd be a long time before I ever get back to ample, if ever. My body now prioritized building fat reserves in a hyper dense nutrient rich subcutaneous layer that would have whales hunting me down for blubber if they ever heard about it. I could still develop visceral fat around my middle, but not before my body completed its impact absorbing layer first, and it took four times the calorie surplus to gain my new blubber versus regular fat. Conversely it'd take me four times longer to starve than I would otherwise and because of enhanced nutrient storage I'd be far healthier during the process.

Dressing in a new black suit I left the bathroom and stepped into the heart of my new workshop where the core of my newest AI, the Central Intelligence Unit, waited beneath a holographic projection desk.

"A rapturous good morrow on your return to work, sir. There are items of pressing business awaiting your direction. Shall I show them to you now?" came the smooth and even tone of the CIU as voiced by Jim Ward.

I nodded and my eyes pulled up some recorded messages starting with the first from Colonel Shannon.

Shannon: Mr. Welles. The Government of Northern California has officially activated the Brotherhood of Steel to deal with an incoming threat to Night City. Call me back immediately.

The message was left half an hour ago, so I went through my other messages while reading through reports generated by the CIU for me. Mostly people floundering without me at the helm of their lives. They wouldn't have to worry any further because Big Juan is back and has both hands on the wheel. The worst news was that Militech took down three Scorpitrons during the week I was under, one of which activated its self destruct protocol due to an unauthorized recovery attempt by persons unknown. They got burnt up so bad in that attempt that even their dentist couldn't ID them.

While Militech hadn't found a silver bullet, they had managed to wreck three Scorpitrons beyond repair, meaning that in one week's time we only netted a single additional Scorpitron for our forces.

I'd give it two weeks tops before we were evenly trading and then a month before the Megacorp is getting the better of us. That is of course counting on the battles continuing at their current intensity and holding to the idea that I don't expand production. Personally I am of a mind to continue limiting the production to four a week and letting the Free States shoulder more of the burden. The battlefield data shows a remarkable recklessness from the pilots who are often high on the sheer destructive power obeying every command of their minds. Putting them on the defensive because of supply limitations will get me better performance data over time.

Seeing what I needed to see I called the Colonel back.

Colonel Shannon: Mr. Welles, time is of the essence. A Militech whistleblower alerted us to a plot to smuggle an experimental AI core into Night City. Sacramento is activating the Brotherhood of Steel to stop this attack.

A part of me wanted to start laughing, but I kept my mental composure and sold the man what he wanted.

Big Juan: Send me any relevant details. We'll get on it.

Colonel Shannon: Wilco. Shannon out.

"Hehehe!" I started wheezing as everything lined up for my like a wonder train of big round asses.

A week later I sent the report on the Brotherhood of Steel's valiant defense of Night City to Shannon and grinned as I accepted the payment for the mercenary work and the associated Street Cred that boosted me up to the next level.

It only took four skill points to max out, and upon doing that a holographic VaultBoy popped up and gave me a thumbs up as a message popped up.

-Congratulations on completing the Skill section of the Fallout New Vegas System. Enjoy this complimentary SPECIAL Point. From now on, unused Skill Points will be banked and every fifty points will be used to purchase another SPECIAL Point.

A little math let me know I'd be hitting points on that by putting my free point into Intelligence I'd get another five SPECIAL Points at levels 39, 42, 45, 48, and 50. I'd max out Agility then put the rest into Perception.

Le gasp! Perception?

Perception, in New Vegas... it's a dump stat. But in Cyberpunk its god tier. My ocular implants can track bullets, predict movements, pick up micro expressions, monitor vitals, assess structural weak points, calculate explosions as well as a host of other handy dandy abilities. I have robo sharingan, and perception boosts that to new levels. It's a lot stronger than some vague red dots appearing on your compass, that's for damn sure.

I considered Strength over Agility, but my new baseline body can wrestle down a Samson Full Body Conversion cyborg, meaning I can bust through walls like the cool aid man and deadlift small cars, with my current strength modifier of a 180 percent there is little in the world man shaped that can contend with me.

My baseline run speed is also slightly faster than what can be achieved with most Full Body conversions, being 48 miles per hour rather than the average 44. With my Agility advantages that shoots up to 96 miles an hour with maxed agility I'd be able to run at just under 125 miles an hour. Then add on the 25 percent from Atomic! and we hit 156 miles an hour.

Now Sandevistan those numbers chooms, Sandevistan those numbers....

I kicked my feet up on the desk and grinned, "Tacos, CIU, it time for tacos."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shorty chapter chooms, as I am knee deep in family, work, and God of War Ragnarok.

I will finish my journey with my boy, no matter who comes for Thanksgiving.

On the fun side I was reading through the source books for neat powerups and baseline statistics to base Juan's off of and I read the section for Body Plated full cybrog converstions and saw that they have an MA of 200 per turn. Then I mistook the length of a turn for the length of a round and thought for a hot minute that these full body gonks can run at 140 miles an hour. 44 is far more reasonable.

What is unreasonable is just how much Sandevistan Juan can scoot. He is basically MCU Quick Silver, but like 6 foot 8 inches and 800 pounds with no compulsion to not use bladed weapons...

It think there needs to be a nerf to Sandevistan compatability because he already has advanced nervous system and reflex speed from his body mods, but not hundi on it as it appears 2076 Smasher is full borg and still gets the full juice. Send me your thoughts on the topic. Is Future Juan's top land speed over 1560 miles per hour?

So Juan's new body baseline just edges out a full Cyborg in terms of strength and speed, and loses in durability, but absolutely outclasses them in sustainability.

We also got to see the next stage in his System now that he's finished leveling his Skills. Another change will come at level 50.
