3 days later after obtaining his badge and uniform, Mark wake up from his bed. Seeing a small room with one window with a one 2 bed adjacent from the other.

At the 2nd bed just beside mark's bed 2 meters apart. He suddenly remembers yesterday events.

The day where the dormitory room selection happened, it was suppose to be a 4 person per room at the dormitory since there was usually 2 bunk beds for each room. For the beginner student, it was a free room but as they graduate to intermediate, only those with great talent can get a dorm fee exception.

It was suppose to be gender by gender dormitories since there are two separated dormitories exist in the academy, so edelina cannot be with Mark all the time, Mark was looking forward to which room from the male dormitory he could be assigned, what could his roommate be or what people are they.

Mark seemed to be assigned to the last room so he expected to only have one roommate since the bed is not a bunk bed but a two separate bed.

At the end of the hallway, the last door was number 70, the lock was not really that common in algareth continent, it was a lock that recognize the owner's mana, since only those who had mana can enter the academy, there door lock was also a mana base lock, it was a doorknob that when it was hold by the owner and send it some mana energy, it'll unlock itself.

Mark was instructed that he need to send his own mana on it to unlock, since it was his first time, he was nervous at first.

His hands holds the doorknob and opened the door.

The saw that there were two separate bed with two tables and chairs in between and it also has two cabinet in the room.

There is also single bathroom, making mark believed that the elves had made progress in civilization because of the human invaders. But he couldn't tell yet.

Mark notices a person sitting in the right bed. He was reading a book, the kid who me he presume his roommate was wearing the blue leaf uniform, wore a pair of glasses. He didn't seems to have a pointy ear one instead of just a normal human ones. He seems the introverted type of person who only likes to read books.

Mark was even amazed by the stock piling books in his table, he seems be polite that he leaves mark's table empty.

"umm, hello nice to meet you, I'm march and you are?"

".... Ardis, I'm Ardis ulondarr" he answered.

"by the way aren't you an elf? Why don't I see some pointy tip in your ears"

"what? Just because I don't have it doesn't mean I'm not..."

"so your an elf?" questioned mark with a baffled look, he started to think deeply of what he knew about fantasy creature but Ardis answer him.

"precisely, I'm an half-elf, doesn't mean you can criticize me because of it"

"calm down, I'm not here to criticize anyone, I'm here to learn"

"so be it don't bother me when I'm reading"

"ohh ok"

Mark sat down at the his designated bed on the right and think about it what he may be forgotten. He look at ardis intensely while rubbing his chin.

'hmm, half-elf with no pointy ears? We're have I heard that before..... Ahaa so that's it, half-elf naturally don't grow there ears since only 50% of their elven bloodline had change their physical characteristics, he might have obtain the elven charisma and physical strength but it must be the reason why he has no ears but why did sheera has a pointy one even though it's small... Wait, it's not the time to think about it's already night, the ceremony is too tiring.. ' mark thought.

Ardis notices his strange look and he glared at mark.

Mark flinch a bit in response to his instence glare.

"what are you looking at? Are you going to criticise me now?"

"n-no it's not what you think! Why are you obsess being criticised, I was just curious that's all" mark replied frantically while shrugging his head.

"curious? About what?"

"a-about this books, where did they come from?"

"are you dumb? Of course it's from the forest of knowledge, don't even know simple places such as library..."

"I'm just asking, you don't have be that harsh"

"then please quiet I'm reading"

"well.. Ok"

'yeah,maybe let's sleep, there's nothing good when talking with this guy'

After losing at the argument, mark yawn and he lie himself to the bed feeling tired.

"Haa.. I'm beat, hey ardis what are you reading? And why is your table has books towering it?"

Ardis didn't even care and he was constantly changing the pages every minute like he read the whole two pages worth of words in just two minutes.

"none of your concern and shut up I'm concentrating to read here"

"....."

Mark look at his side, to where ardis is... He looked at the title on the book that he was reading.

'Adventure Of.. Chivalric Knight.. Ordaine?'

Then mark shifted his attention to the pile of book, even though the room is small.

('hmm what do he frequently read let's see.... Chivalric Code, Knight of The Moon, Valorian Knight, A way for a Chivalric Knight, intermediate rune language, basic magic circle drawing,....)

The rest was some subjects of academics that related to magic, there is also some sword techniques in the pile.

"well, you sure read a lot about chivalry and knighthood"

"hehe... I wanted to act like him someday" ardis muttered to himself.

"huh, you want to what?" mark asked with a puzzled look.

Ardis give him a glare while speaking.

"can you shut up? I'm concentrating here"

"ohh ok"

Mark somehow saw him blushing while he was reading makes mark wonder what he was really reading, 'but well, he' s right, it's not my business to know I'll just take some sleep because I'm dead tired'

Mark grab his blanket and he fall asleep.

That was the event yesterday.

He woke up from his slumber, mark look around the room, he was shock when he found out the pile of books disappeared and the guy beside him was gone too.

'how did he read that much books in just a short Span of time? Did he really read it though? I wonder when did he sleep?'

Suddenly the door opened and ardis came out from there, holding a book.

"good morning, ardis where did you go this early?"

He yawns and lie at his bed while saying "from the library, of course"

"library? Ohh, could you tell me where I could find it?" mark spoke.

"it's nearby the canteen in the 3rd floor, just follow literature pathway you'll arrive there in no time" ardis spoke with his eyes shut, unbothered and motionless in his bed.

'I get that the first day of class was still tomorrow, but how tired was he to sleep early in the morning? But wait what did he say where again? If only the school doesn't have a labrynth like corridors...'
