*ancient Egypt, the era of the gods*

Nut has spent days and nights in the dark hole in the air gods abode. She lost count of how many days and nights she had spent there, but she was sure that a great deal of time has passed since she was cast into the dark hole by her father. She knew she had no choice but to submit to his will, due to the fact that she was out numbered and could have been destroyed there and then by the other gods, especially Horus. He always never appreciated nor acknowledged her as the goddess of sky as he as well was the god of sky and war.

He always believed that Nuts existence was of no use to Egypt and that he should be the only god, that rules the sky. However, Ra saw this rival on time and shared the god duties between them evenly. He gave Horus control over war and sky advantages during war of Egypt with other land across their coasts. So Horus basically controlled the sky if it was time for war and he also led the mortals to victory, each time they marched into battle. To Nut, he gave total control of the sky, the rain sun, moon, stars, and every other heavenly body was all hers to control which by right was Horus's will. Moreover, because the will was too much she usually looses control and just let her will take over her actions. But this only happens if she is angry, frustrated, sad or ran through with emotions.

The current fact still remains that all that didn't matter to Nut now, because she only awaited her judgment so that she can face it and get her will back in full. Ra had sent word himself that the mortals shouldn't honor, praise or sacrifice to her till she has undergone her judgment and proved worthy to still remain a goddess of Egypt. Her will was partially ridden from her and it even worsened when she stop being believed in by the mortals, which was her greatest strength. She felt so weak and her god form couldn't even glow anymore. She knew very well why her grandfather did this and what his reasons were. He knew that she might loose control on the day of the judgment, where she would be presented before other gods and immortals of Egypt and she might create a scene that would never be wiped out in the history of Egypt. So Ra preferred not to take any chances and of course she had no say in his decisions.

As for her god duties, influence and contributions, Ra asked Horus to take over till she has been tried and proved. Nut was very certain that Horus would be drunk with victory over her, but she didn't care. All that mattered to her was getting out of this dark hole, undergoing her judgment , getting her will back in full and finding out what happened to her Geb. She missed him everyday and really wished he also felt the same way about her.

Though Nut and Geb had an affair and proved to love each other, Nut sometimes thought that what Geb felt for her was just lust but always brushes it off. Though Geb confesses his love for each time they were together, but she never felt it deep in her heart.

She could feel his strong arms around her , his soft lips on hers, the heat from his touches, the satisfaction from his big man hood and the sweetness of his mortal skin whenever she licked it. But she never for once felt so deep within her the love he always confessed to her. Even so, each time she had the thought she would always discard it saying that there were twins and inseparable for ever.

Nut was still in deep thoughts in the darkness when she heard some noise outside the hole where she was thrown into. She looked upwards, to the hole entrance though she could see nothing but ulter darkness, but her other senses sharpened.

'Is it time for my judgment already? May it be so because the hole is wearing me out and l need to see the sky again, feel its bliss and warmth one more time ' she thought with much joy but a sad smile appeared on her face, when it dawned on her that she was to be judged immediately she left the hole. She felt a sting of pain at first but then relaxed her mind and calmed down, returning to her former resort. ' Geb my love, am doing this for us and l will surely get us back together, no matter the cost. I will ensure that our days of romance under the open sky and bare earth will be renewed'. She thought with a look of determination on her face.

She jolted from her thoughts when the noise at the entrance of the hole increased. She looked at the direction again though she couldn't see anything. She just stared at the entrance, getting for anything or anyone she saw or heard.

Her gaze was still fixed at the direction. But this time, her ears discerned the noise they were hearing. It was the sounds of fights, not ordinary fights but fights between gods, not just immortals because instead of the sound of clashing ⚔ swords and shields, She heard the sounds of god wills and powers, 'swishs' and 'swoshs'.

Nut felt fear creep into her. She wasn't afraid of the gods fighting outside the hole or what they could do to her, but was scared of what the cause might be that would make two gods fight just above where she was held captive. Her head spinned and she felt like she was losing it. Stood up immediately, feeling every corner of the hole for a comfortable place to lean herself. Holding the rocky wall on her right for support, she leaned her back at the other side though also rocky but atleast better than the former. She just closed her eyes tight as she prepared her body for what ever happens next.

*directly above the dark 🕳 hole *

Shu standing above the dark hole, staring at it. He felt so much pain within because he already knew what will become of Nut after her judgment tomorrow. He tried so much to change Ra's mind, but the sun god was determined to rid the sky goddess of her mortal forever that she may no longer take a consort or feel the warmth mortals feel.

Shu knew that it was just too much for Nut to bear, but he had already subdued to his father's decision and there was nothing he could do. He stepped back from the entrance of the hole and then walked to his abode, then he stopped abruptly. He sensed the presence of another immortal, a god or maybe a demon. He turned around swiftly to meet the fiery eyes of the demon god himself " Aposis?! "

Shu was shocked to the core, what was Aposis doing here? He asked himself because the last he could remember, he was banished by Geb and the supreme father Ra after they fought and defeated him and cast him to the underworld where the was no light atall. However, he was standing before him with grace high will. Shu could sense his powerful aura but wasn't intimidated.

"Shu" Aposis breathed "its been long like about... let me think" he said as he placed his hand on his chin thoughtfully "oh yes, its been hundreds of centuries since l last saw you. And l must say that you do look good and not quite affected by what was going on". He said with a 😏 smirk.

"Aposis... Leave now before l send word to the supreme father and Geb as well. Am sure you wouldn't like to be banished the second time". Shu said fearlessly.

"Ha ha ha" Aposis laughed loudly "please Shu, am not here for jokes l just came for Nut because l know where she can find the one god She's still living for, Geb" he said with a grin.

'Geb? No that can't be, how does he know about Geb, was he telling the truth' Shu thought as fear was written all over his face. He tried to read Aposis but couldn't 'strange' he thought before finally speaking.

"You're not taking Nut "Shu said with authority.

Aposis really didn't want to fight Shu but he left him no choice. Immediately, he turned to his demon form, snake like and gave the first attack on Shu which caught him unawares and injured him serious.

Shu jolted and transformed to his god form, though already injured but he couldn't ho down without a fight.

They kept using their god wills and powers at each other, till it was visible that Aposis had an upper hand. His snake life form gave him the will to doge Shu's attack and deliver his dangerously and accurately. In a matter of minutes, Shu lost. Aposis lifted him with his tail and flung him far away at the other side of the serene.

He turned back to his mortal form and walked to the entrance of the hole. He opened it to find an almost lifeless Nut, who felt alive when her eyes met his. "Aposis?! " she called with disbelieve.

"I am here to help you" he said ignoring her shock and drawing her out of the hole.

"Why? " exactly she asked as she was already out of the whole.

"Because you have found favor in my eyes. I know where, how and when you can find your precious Geb" he said with an evil smile.

"Geb? " She gasped. She looked around and found her father's lifeless body lying on the floor with blood all over him but she felt nothing at all, thinking that he deserved it.

"And what do l owe this very kind gesture" she asked staring into his mesmerizing fiery red orbs.

"Just join me and become my ally then l will take you to him, to have to yourself forever " Aposis said with a convincing voice.

Nut gave it a seconds thought, she had nothing to loose and everything to gain. With that, she blurted out immediately "an alliance its then ".

"Swear with your god tone", Aposis demanded.

Nut didn't hesitate " I, Nut goddess of the sky, grand daughter of sun god Ra swear this day an alliance with you, demon god Aposis an alliance that would last till you say no more. This l declare as a repay of the kindness that thou has shown me". She ended with a slight bow to Aposis.

"Good " Aposis bowed as well before continuing "let's leave now dear ally"...
