Since they weren't considered soldiers anymore, but imperial guards, he asked the emperors if there were enough funds to get the men new uniforms. His request was immediately accepted and he worked with an armor designer to create a black and dark green uniform that fit in with the royal colors of Varya's family but were black so they stood out from other soldiers.

It took almost a month, but he found more men qualified for the position, and their training sessions began.
